Earlier today I received a disturbing comment left on my MiddletownMike blog by someone who claims to be a personal friend of Middletown Republican candidate for Township Committee Stephanie Murray.
This individual writing anonymously as "The real Big Mike" left a number of derogatory comments about myself ,which is not an issue, I'm a big boy and it comes with the territory, what does disturbs me though is this persons idle threats. Threats to find credit card statements or track down doctor visits and to "go all out" digging for information against me and "everybody" in my circle.
Obviously this person is delusional but a threat is a threat and they can not be taken lightly no matter how absurd they may seem.
Is this the type of person that Stephanie Murray and other members of the Middletown GOP like to call supporters and friends?
I hope not, but if so then others should know about it. That's why I have forward the below message to Mrs. Murray, as well as everyone else in my address book. I am asking you to do the same.
This type of behavior in the name of a candidate for elective office crosses the line and should never be tolerated. If it is, then we have to question whether or not that candidate is fit to hold elective office in Middletown or elswhere.

So you try to dig up some secret dirt that you think will help sway votes. Here is the Deal...Her Dedication to public service is unquestionable. In fact she does it for free....Her parental skills are awesome. She is a wonderful mother and wife. She is loaded to the gills with friends. Her children go to Catholic school to learn about God. Just like some jewish children go to Hebrew school. She is basically knowledgable in every subject from why trees have leaves to the liberal agenda....She lives her her life based on code and dignity.
Now, if you want to discuss political issues Im your man. If you want to try to figure out waste in Middletown, again Im your man. And if you want to slant people or talk trash Im your man once again....I think it wouldnt be in your best interest to go that route. If I start diggin, I go all out...That includes everybody in your circle...just saying...........

In light of the dispicable mailer put out by the republicans in District 11, is it any wonder that these republicans would resort to threats? I say no. Its just business as usual for them to threaten. They're disgusting and I hope that you contact the authorities just to make sure that neanderthal doesn't steal your identity and use your credit card to pay for the therapy he so desperatley need.

To answer your question, there is a free service called VINE. If you go to their website, they will tell you if someone is in custody. You can then register to be contacted when that inmate's custody status changes (e.g., released on bail, transferred to a new prison, released after completing a sentence, etc). VINE will contact you via email or via a telephone call. They are quick too. VINE's automated system will literally call you as the inmate is being processed out of the jail. I registered to be contacted when Art Gallagher was released.
Art Gallagher will have to appear before Judge Scully on November 16, 2011 for his extradition hearing. If he loses that hearing, he will be taken back into custody and held until Delaware comes and picks him up. Suffice it to say, I will be at the hearing. I'll let you know afterwards what happened. It should be interesting.

Post the truth. The word threat means " the intention to harm someone". As usual with liberals, you stretch something to try and make it truthful. Some republicans who respond to this blog (and were on the other blog we all know about), seem to have an anger management problem. Their comments are nasty and personal attacks. As for Stephanie, I agree that she should not be attacked for her career - it doesn't seem that she is forcing her books on anyone. What bothers me more about her is her claim at the Lincroft Candidates Meeting that neither she or ANYONE she knew got a tax increase - completly ludicrous and clearly shows she is out of touch with what many in the township are experiencing.
That's not what she said at LVGA. She said her taxes did not go up 12% which was a ludicrous statement by Grenafege and Morrill. Show us your tax bill Jim.
1:56: good point. I think the personal issues are brought up because there is a lack of disclosure and honesty. We got burned by Scharfenberger last election and now it's important that we know what each candidate's background is.
Steph Murray hasn't discussed any prior employment except running an on line publishing house. Don't you think we should know more about her?
She only has appointed positions on various boards which still is a little sketchy.
On the other hand, Carol Fowler has a wealth of experience and character with her current and past occupations.
She has her own mind and is not going to echo what's been fed to her.
Sure politically neither has experience, but neither did Pam Brightbill or Steve Massell.
I'm looking for candidates who have character and ones I can trust.
Neither Republican candidate has exhibited that.

Agreed- that is why I won't vote for Murray. The issue of the value of political appointments has been well discussed on this blog- it is a time honored "resume booster" that means nothing as far as qualifications.
And I do judge a candidate by the type of people that associate with them. Art Gallagher advocates for Fiore (and vice versa) and this
"Big Mike" performs the same service for Murray. Unless there is clear and decisive rejection of that type of support, I have to assume they welcome it.
