Crime Scene Middletown: Middletown Police Arrest Bartender And Other Recent Activity

MIDDLETOWN, NJ - On July 9, 2011 the Middletown Police Detective Bureau conducted an Alcohol Beverage Control inspection at the Junction Bar and Liquors located on Main Street in Belford. The purpose of the inspection was to enforce ordinances and laws pertaining to the sale of alcoholic beverages. The detectives conducted an investigation which resulted in the issuance of numerous ordinance violations. The detectives determined that none of the employees of the establishment had ABC cards which are required to serve alcohol.

The investigation resulted in the arrest of an employee, identified as Thomas Dundon, age 31, from Peters Place in Red Bank, NJ, being arrested on a Contempt of Court warrant issued by the Asbury Park Municipal Court. He was being held on bail.

Also arrested was a bartender, identified as David Miller, age 50, from Patterson Lane in Red Bank, NJ, for Possession of Cocaine and Possession with the Intent to Distribute Cocaine after police located the Cocaine in his possession. Police say the cocaine was packaged for sale.

The detectives closed the establishment pending further investigation.

On July 8, 2011 at approximately 6:35 pm Patrolman Brady Carr responded to the Bottle King Liquor Store on Highway 35 in reference to a report of a juvenile who attempted to purchase alcohol with a fake driver’s license.

Upon arrival Officer Carr conducted an investigation which resulted in the arrest of a 17 year old female juvenile from Center Avenue in Rumson, NJ, being arrested for Possession of a False Driver’s License. She was transported to police headquarters where she was processed and released to her father.

On July 8, 2011 at approximately 8:30 pm Patrolman Brady Carr responded to the Bottle King Liquor Store in reference to a report of an underage subject who attempted to purchase alcohol with another person’s driver’s license and debit card. Upon arrival the officer conducted an investigation which resulted in the arrest of Justin Horowitz, age 19, from Brandywine Way in Middletown, NJ, being arrested for Fraudulent Use of a Debit Card.

Horowitz was transported to police headquarters where he was processed and released pending a court date.

On July 8, 2011 at approximately 10:00 pm Patrolman Keith Hirschbein was dispatched to the area of Hartshorne Park to meet with a Park Ranger in reference to a report of three subjects possibly engaging in narcotics activity. Upon arrival the officer met with the Park Ranger who advised the officer that he had located a parked vehicle and approached the occupants to check on their well-being. While speaking with the occupants the ranger detected an odor of Marijuana coming from the car.

Officer Hirschbein conducted an investigation which resulted in the arrests of Christopher Marsillo, age 18, from Laurel Brook Road in Lincroft, NJ, being arrested for Possession of Under 50 Grams of Marijuana; Cole Samuels, age 18, from Navesink Avenue in Atlantic Highlands, NJ, being arrested for Possession of Under 50 Grams of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and James Caronia, age 18, from Roberta Drive in Middletown, NJ, being arrested for Possession of Under 50 Grams of Marijuana.

All three subjects were transported to police headquarters where they were processed and released pending a court date.

On July 8, 2011 at approximately 5:45 pm Patrolman Keith Hirschbein was on patrol in the area of McMahon Park when he observed a Park Ranger investigating a complaint involving alcohol. The officer assisted the ranger and located a crumpled up dollar bill containing Marijuana in the area.

Officer Hirschbein conducted an investigation which resulted in the arrest of Edward Salkow, age 22, from Salem Avenue in Elizabeth, NJ, being arrested for Possession of under 50 Grams of Marijuana. The officer also located a Contempt of Court warrant issued by the Newark Municipal Court for his arrest.The officer continued his investigation and located a Contempt of Court warrant issued by the Roselle Municipal Court for a second subject, identified as Thorn Ruiz, age 23, from Hayes Avenue in Elizabeth, NJ.

Both subjects were transported to police headquarters for processing and were released pending a court date.

On July 8, 2011 at approximately 2:55 pm Patrolman Richard Belmonte and Patrolman Keith Hirschbein responded to the Foodtown in reference to a report of a shoplifting. Upon arrival security advised the officers that they observed two juveniles attempt to steal approximately $20.00 worth of food and candy.

The officers conducted an investigation which resulted in the arrests of a 17 year old female juvenile from Vermont Avenue in Port Monmouth, NJ, and a 16 year old female juvenile from Green Field Way in Belford, NJ. The 16 year old female was also charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of under 50 Grams of Marijuana. Both subjects were released pending a court date.

On July 9, 2011 at approximately 5:25 pm Patrolman Keith Hirschbein responded to the area of Highway 36 and Palmer Avenue in Middletown in reference to a motor vehicle accident. Upon arrival the officer conducted an investigation which resulted in the arrest of Jamie Yeager, age 29, from Highway 105 in Vidor, Texas, being arrested for Driving While Intoxicated.

Yeager was transported to police headquarters where she was processed and released pending a court date.

On July 9, 2011 at approximately 12:28 pm Patrolman John Mele was given a description of a vehicle possibly being operated by a drunk driver which was called in by a citizen who had been driving behind the car. Sgt. Bagileo and Officer Mele located the vehicle a short time later in the area of Church Street and Liberty Street. The driver, identified as Sean Stewart, age 48, from Kimberly Court in Middletown, NJ, appeared to be asleep behind the wheel.

Officer Mele conducted an investigation which resulted in Stewart being arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and Reckless Driving. He was transported to police headquarters where he was charged with the additional offense of Refusal to Submit Breath Samples. He was processed and released pending a court date.

On July 9, 2011 at approximately 10:55 pm Patrolman Christian Clark responded to the Lincroft Acme in reference to a report of a criminal mischief to a motor vehicle. Upon arrival the officer spoke with the owner of the vehicle who informed him that a subject, identified as Evan Raczkiewicz, age 18, from Newman Springs Road in Lincroft, NJ, purposely ran and jumped on his car causing damage to the roof.

Officer Clark conducted an investigation which resulted in Rackiewicz being arrested for Criminal Mischief and Underage Possession of Alcohol. He was transported to police headquarters where he was processed and released pending a court date.

On July 10, 2011 at approximately 7:55 pm Patrolman Michael Reuter responded to the Bayshore Waterfront Park to assist a Park Ranger who had two subjects detained for possession of Marijuana. Upon arrival the Park Ranger advised Officer Reuter that he was walking in the area when he observed the two subjects rolling what appeared to be a Marijuana Cigar. The Park Ranger confiscated the Marijuana and detained the subjects until the police arrived.

Officer Reuter placed both subjects under arrest. They were identified as Timothy Enny, age 18, from Arthur Place in Middletown, NJ and a seventeen year old male juvenile from Port Monmouth, NJ. Both subjects were transported to police headquarters where they were charged with Possession of under 50 Grams of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. They were processed and released pending a court date.

On July 10, 2011 at approximately 9:30 pm police responded to the area of Powell Avenue in reference to a report of a large party. Upon arrival officers located over 100 juveniles in the area. Police received numerous calls about intoxicated juveniles running through yards and standing in the streets. Corporal James Keenan was attempting to the clear the area when a 16 year old female juvenile, from Maplewood Drive in Middletown, ignored numerous requests to leave the area.

Corporal Keenan approached the female who began to yell and scream and curse at the officer. Officer Keenan then attempted to arrest her at which point she pushed his hand away and attempted to push him in the chest. Officer Keenan was able to take her into custody and placed her in his patrol car. The juvenile then attempted to take some of the officer’s personal property from the patrol car.

She was transported to police headquarters where she was charged with Theft, Disorderly Conduct and Resisting Arrest. She was processed and released to her father pending a court date.

On July 10, 2011 at approximately 1:45 am Sgt. William Colangelo responded to the area of Port Monmouth road in reference to a motor vehicle accident. Upon arrival the officer located the driver, identified as Damian Neri, age 23, from Port Monmouth Road in Middletown, NJ, sitting on a curb. The officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from his breath.

Sgt. Colangelo conducted an investigation which resulted in Neri being arrested for Driving While Intoxicated, Reckless Driving and Driving While Revoked. He was transported to police headquarters where he was processed and released pending a court date.

On July 11, 2011 at approximately 4:30 pm Patrolman Raymond Sofield responded to the area of the Shore Crest Mini Park for report of possible narcotics activity taking place. The police desk has received a call about a meeting that was taking place in the park between two people during which narcotics were going to be purchased.

Office Sofield conducted an investigation which resulted in the arrest of a 15 year old male juvenile from Linden Avenue in Red Bank, NJ, for Loitering with Intent to Distribute Narcotics. He was transported to police headquarters where he was processed and released to his parents.

On July 11, 2011 at approximately 2:10 pm Patrolman Nicholas Fenezia was on patrol in the area of the Maguires Grove Apartment Complex when he conducted a motor vehicle stop for an expired registration. While speaking with the driver, identified as Dean Ferry, age 26, from Kimberly Court in Middletown, he discovered an outstanding Contempt of Court warrant issued by the Keyport Municipal Court for Ferry’s arrest. Officer Fenezia placed Ferry under arrest.

Ferry advised the officer that he had bail money in his apartment and requested that the officer follow him into the apartment in order for him to get the money. Officer Fenezia followed Ferry into the apartment at which point he detected a strong odor of raw Marijuana. The officer then observed a Marijuana grow operation inside an open closet.

Officer Fenezia continued his investigation which resulted in the recovery of Marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The investigation resulted in Ferry being charged with the additional offenses of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession with the Intent to Distribute Marijuana within 500 feet of a Park, Possession of over 50 Grams of Marijuana, and Manufacturing over 50 Grams of Marijuana. Also arrested was Ferry’s girlfriend, Kristen Reedy, age 24, also from Kimberly Court in Middletown, NJ. She was charged with the same offenses as Ferry.

Both subjects were transported to police headquarters where they were processed. Reedy was released on her own recognizance pending a court date and Ferry was held on $1,000.00 bail with no 10% option.

On July 13, 2011 at approximately 1:50 am Patrolman James Beirne was on patrol in the area of Cherry Tree Farm Road when he pulled over a vehicle for multiple motor vehicle violations. Officer Beirne approached the driver, identified as Sergio Amoedo, age 23, from Stone Road in Hazlet, NJ, and detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath.

Officer Beirne conducted an investigation which resulted in Amoedo being arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and Reckless Driving. He was transported to headquarters where he was processed and released pending a court date.

On July 13, 2011 Detective Adam Finck arrested Dennis Cernek, age 51, from 37th Street in North Bergen, NJ, for Theft after a four month investigation. Cernek used a dating website, Plenty-O-Fish.com, as well as other websites, to meet his victim. After dating for a while Cernek stole jewelry from her home.

He was processed and was being held at the Monmouth County Correctional Facility in Freehold, NJ, on $10,000.00 bail set by Judge Michael Pugliese.

Jason Venson, age 31, from Knollwood Drive in Middletown, NJ, arrested on July 10, 2011 by Patrolman John Mele for Violation of a Court Order and a Contempt of Court warrant issued by the Red Bank Municipal Court. He was held on $2,589.00 bail.
Thorn Ruiz, age 23, from Hayes Avenue in Elizabeth, NJ, arrested on July 8, 2011 by Patrolman Brady Carr on a Contempt of Court warrant issued by the Roselle Municipal Court. He was released on his own recognizance.

Angela Boden Scotti, age 47, from Shore Boulevard in Keansburg, NJ, arrested on July 9, 2011 by Patrolman Charles Higgins on a Contempt of Court warrant issued by the Jersey City Municipal Court. She was released after posting $100.00 bail.

Phillip Roenbeck, age 19, from Morningside Avenue in Middletown, NJ, arrested on July 9, 2011 by Patrolman John Soltysik on a Contempt of Court warrant issued by the Oceanport Municipal Court. He was released after posting $750.00 bail.

Joseph Colasacco, age 32, from Creek Road in Port Monmouth, NJ, arrested on July 9, 2011 by Patrolman Stephen Keller for Simple Assault. He was released pending a court date.

William Roberts, age 72, from Morris Avenue in Belford, NJ, arrested on July 10, 2011 by Patrolman Keith Hirschbein for Terroristic Threats, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon and Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose. He was released after posting bail.

Pamela Koba-Marrazzo, age 41, from Tindall Road in Middletown, NJ, arrested on July 11, 2011 by Patrolman Jason Caruso on two Contempt of Court warrants issued by the Middletown Municipal Court. She was released after posting $185.00 bail.

Jean Stewart, age 31, from Washington Street in West New York, NJ, arrested on July 10, 2011 by Patrolman Michael Reuter on a Fugitive Warrant out of the state of Florida and four Contempt of Court warrant issued by the West New York and the Hoboken Municipal Courts. He was being held in the Monmouth County Correctional Facility in Freehold, NJ.

Jennifer Hicks, age 31, from Thousand Oaks Drive in Atlantic Highlands, NJ, arrested on July 11, 2011 by Patrolman Jason Caruso on a Contempt of Court warrant issued by the Middletown Municipal Court. She was released after posting $546.00 bail.

Amanda Pardee, age 26, from Ocean Avenue in Middletown, NJ, arrested on July 11, 2011 by Patrolman Christopher Dee for Simple Assault with a Motor Vehicle. She was being held at the Monmouth County Correctional Facility in Freehold, NJ, on $2,500 bail set by Judge Richard Thompson.

Carissa Bossert, age 23, from Woods End Drive in Middletown, NJ, arrested on July 11, 2011 by Patrolman Robert McNair on a Contempt of Court warrant issued by the Oceanport Municipal Court. She was held on bail.

Ernesto Flores, age 27, from Amboy Road in Staten Island, NY, arrested on July 11, 2011 by Corporal James Keenan on a Contempt of Court warrant issued by the Heightstown Municipal Court. He was held on $950.00 bail.

Phillip Lamoreaux, age 22, from Golden Eye Lane in Port Monmouth, NJ, arrested on July 12, 2011 by Patrolman Christopher Dee on two Contempt of Court warrants issued by the New Brunswick Municipal Court. He was released after posting $950.00 bail.

Robert Boyce, age 49, from Alberta Avenue in Neptune, NJ, arrested on July 12, 2011 by Patrolman Stephen Keller on a Contempt of Court warrant issued by the Middletown Municipal Court. He was being held at the Monmouth County Correctional Facility in Freehold, NJ.

Daniel Limbach, age 30, from Rose Terrace in West Keansburg, NJ, arrested on July 12, 2011 by Corporal Keith MacDonald on a Contempt of Court warrant issued by the Middletown Municipal Court. He was held on $550.00 bail.

Adam Kurczeski, age 30, from Mounts Mill Road in Monroe, NJ, arrested on July 13, 2011 by Patrolman Antonio Ciccone on a Contempt of Court warrant issued by the Middletown Municipal Court. He was held at the Monmouth County Correctional Facility in Freehold, NJ.

Ebony Crank, age 27, from Matawan Avenue in Cliffwood, NJ, arrested on July 12, 2011 by Patrolman Donald Coates and Patrolman Jason Caruso on a warrant signed by the Monmouth County Narcotics Strike Force Bayshore Unit for Possession of Heroin, Possession of Cocaine, Possession with the Intent to Distribute Heroin, Possession with the Intent to Distribute Cocaine, Distribution of Heroin and Distribution of Cocaine. She was released after posting $5,000.00 bail with a 10% option.
