For the past 14 years EA Sports' Madden NFL video game, has been running game simulations to predict the out come of the Super Bowl. These game simulations have been uncanny in predicting the outcome of these games, having predicted the correct outcome 10 out of 14 times.
For Super Bowl XLIX, played three years ago, Madden NFL 15 not only predicted that the New England Patriots would win the Super Bowl, it predicted that they would come from behind in a last minute comeback to defeat the Seattle Seahawks by a score of 28-24, which was correct.
It also predicted that:
The Patriots would score first - Correct
Tom Brady would win MVP - Correct
Tom Brady would have 4 touchdown passes - Correct
Julian Edelman would catch the game winning touchdown - Correct
Madden NFL 15 other amazingly close game day stats included:
Tom Brady would pass for 335 yard (he throw for 328, 7 yards shy of total)
It was only 3 yards and 1 catch away from perfectly calling Julian Edelman’s entire game.
Halftime score 17 - 14 (game was actually tied at 14)
The Madden 15 game simulation was the most detailed and amazingly accurate one of all time.
Last year, Madden 17 once again predicted correctly the outcome of the game when it went out on a limb and said the Patriots would mount a last drive, come from behind victory over the Atlanta Falcons.
How close will this years prediction be? We'll have to watch the game to find out.
For the past 12 years EA Sports has been running game simulations using it's Madden NFL video game to predict the eventual outcome of the Super Bowl. In doing so, they have been able to tell us the winners of 9 of the last 12 Super Bowls with uncanny accuracy.

Thus far, last year's Madden game simulation was the most detailed and amazingly accurate one of them all.
For this year's game, which will be played on Sunday, EA Sports Madden NFL 16 once again goes out on the limb to predict the outcome of Super Bowl 50. The game will be played in San Francisco between the Caroline Panthers and the Denver Broncos.
According to the Madden 16 game simulation,Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers dominate the first half of the game by jumping out to a commanding lead of 17-0 over the Broncos. Peyton Manning and the Broncos then flip the game on its head by owning the second half and going ahead of the Panthers 20-17 in the 4th quarter. The game then comes down to game ending, final minute drive by the Panthers to win it by the score of 24-20.
How accurate will this year's game simulation be? Will it be successful in predicting the winner of the Super Bowl for the 10th time in 13 years? We'll have to wait until Sunday to find out.
For the 11th year in a row EA Sports has run a number of simulations using it's Madden NFL video game to predict the outcome of the NFL's biggest game - the Super Bowl. This year's simulations were run using the Xbox One version of Madden NFL 15.
If you're a New England Patriots fan - good news. Madden 15 says the Patriots will defeat the Seahawks 28-24. Now wouldn't that make this Sunday's game super special.
In its 11 years history of game simulations, EA Sports and it's Madden NFL game franchise has predicted the winning team correctly 8 out 11 times with uncanny accuracy.
Much like last year game between the Broncos and Seahawks, everyone's reckoning this year's game between the Patriots and Seahawks is going to be close. No one is expecting a huge blowout as last year's Super Bowl turned out to be.
So which team is going to win? I have no clue. I like both teams for different reason and just hope for a competitive and exciting game.

This coming Sunday the Baltimore Ravens and the San Francisco 49ers will be meeting down in New Orleans to compete in Super Bowl XLVII and the question on everybody's mind isn't about where they're going to be watching the game or who has the best chicken wings, pizza or beer? No, the big question on everyone's mind is who is going to win? Everyone has an opinion but no one has the answer.
That is of course, if you happen to believe two sources that have a fairly reliable track record over the past several years.
For those that are video game devotees and who spend countless hours on their Xbox 360 or Playstation PS3, EA Sports's "Madden NFL 13" has chosen the Baltimore Ravens to narrowly beat the 49ers on Sunday. Back at the home, EA Sports has been running Super Bowl game simulations for the past nine years and has accurately predicted seven of the past nine Super Bowl Champions. Amazingly in 2009, the simulation between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Arizona Cardinals was just two points off of the exact score.
Closer to home, Princess the prognosticating and somewhat clairvoyant camel of Lacy Township's Popcorn Park Zoo, has also gained a bit of national attention for her stunning track record at picking the winners of not only regular season NFL games but also the Super Bowl over the past several years. In that time span she has chosen the winner of the big game six out of the past seven years. And this year, Princess is also picking the Ravens to beat the 49ers on Sunday saying, "... I’ve got faith in Flacco, who by the way, is from New Jersey. That Ray Rice, he can run the ball and the defense will do just enough to win!"
I'm going to go out on a limb and take the opposite stand on the game, I say the San Francisco 49ers are going to win this years Super Bowl. I just think that the dynamics of the 49ers's offense with Colin Kaepernick at quarterback, running the triple option will be a little to much for the aging Ravens's defense to overcome. I also think that the San Franciso's defense is superior to Baltimores' and it will keep Joe Flacco off balance most of the game and running back Ray Rice in the backfield more often than not.
After a three week lay off due the after effects of Hurricane Sandy, the prognosticating camel of Popcorn Park Zoo - Princess - is back.
In returning from her hiatus brought on by the storm, Princess is making a bold prediction this week. She says that the Giants, in the middle off their midseason funk and coming off their bye-week, are ready to return to their winning ways by defeating the Green Bay Packers tomorrow night at Met-Life Stadium.
So what makes Princess so sure that the Giants, losers of two games in a row will beat a Packers team that is currently on a five game win streak?
" I've got a gut feeling on this one..., but I really do think the Giants are going to come together and pull this one out." Princess said.
That may be a bit optimistic and a bit unsoothsayerish on Princess's part, but when you have a strong gut feeling about something, it generally is right, so who am I to question it.
Here's hoping that Princess gut is correct and the Giants come out of Sunday night's game against the Packers victorious. GO BIG BLUE!
For the last five week Princess the Camel and the NY Giants have been on a roll; Princess has been picking the Giants to defeat those that have gone up against them while the Giants have made her look good by doing just that.
Each are on an incredible and unlikely winning streak given the fact that the Giants were being over match on the field and both the Giants's Head Coach Tom Coughlin and Defensive Coordinator Perry Fewell were on the verge of losing their jobs. It's amazing what a well timed winning streak will do for you!
As every football fan knows, this weekend is the NFC and AFC Championship games and the winners of those games will move on to the Super Bowl in two weeks
For this weeks NFL pick Princess the prognosticating Camel has decided to stay true blue with her pick. Princess feels that the winner of the NFC Championship game on Sunday, being played out in San Fransisco, will be none other than the NY Giants!
Knowing how good the San Fransisco 49ers have been this year is and what a tough game the Giants are heading into on Sunday being a 3 point underdog, Princess had this to say about the game, "...The Giant defense is now a force to be reckoned with and Eli will take care of business..."
Well lets hope that Princess's prediction comes true again this week, six in a row would be sweet for both Princess and the Giants
Princess the Camel has had a pretty rough time of it the past few weeks. After starting the NFL season of with a perfect 4-0 record of predicting NFL game winner, she has fallen on some tough times. After choosing the San Diego Chargers to beat the NY Jets last week, Princess has found herself in the mist of a 3 game losing streak and a record after 7 weeks of picking games of 4-3.
Princess's fortunes should change this week with her no-brains pick of the NY Giants over the Miami Dolphins, I mean if the Giants can't win this game they have no right fielding a team for the rest of the year. Although as Princess states, "... on paper this appears to be an easy one, but you never know. The Giants are known for playing down to the competition..."
That's a point that should be heeded for sure, the Giants do have a history of playing down to their competition but this week the Giants will show up.
Last week our prognosticating camel, Princess had a rough go of it. After picking the Giants defeat the Saints down in New Orleans where the Giant's defense was embarrassed, Princess record for predictions this year has dropped to 3-3, a .500 record.
So it is a bit of a surprise that she would go back to the well so soon and chose the Giants once again this week.
The Giants are at home this week to face the Arizona Cardinal in the Sunday night game on NBC.
Will the Giants defense have a better performance this week against the Cardinal's Kurt Warner and his high-flying receivers, Larry Fitzgerald and Antoine Boulden?
"... I know the Cardinals have one of the better quarterbacks in Warner, and he's real hot right now but, I don't think the Giants coaching staff is going to let that happen two weeks in a row. I wouldn't want to be one of the Giant defensive players this week during practice, the coaches probably have a lot of EXTRA work for them."
At the end of this NFL Week 7, Princess predictions will be either back on the positive side for the season or slip below the .500 mark for the first time since the openning week. For my sake and those of all Giants fans, I hope that the Giants and her prediction are winners this week.
Princess the Camel did it again. The prognosticator of Popcorn Park Zoo, in choosing the Pittsburgh Steelers over the Arizona Cardinals, successfully picked the winner of Super Bowl XLIII.
In a game that went down to the wire and almost foiled Princess's prediction, the Steelers came from behind with about 2:38 left to play in the game,to defeat the Cardinal (and me) 27-23.
Princess's record for picking the winner of NFL games this year finishes at a very impressive 17-5.
My record of picking winners on the other hand was not so good, out of the 11 games that made up this years NFL playoffs, my record was a dismal 3-8.
The only pleasure that I receive from the outcome of this game, is in knowing that while the Cardinals did not emerge as winners of Super Bowl XLIII, they did cover the point spread and as a result, I am now a few bucks richer than I was a few hours ago.
So lets hear it for the Pittsburgh Steelers, winners of their sixth Super Bowl title, the most out of any other team in the NFL.
It was a great NFL season, I already can't wait until the start of next season in order root for the Giants return to the big game.
The following video from ESPN is a short preview of of Super Bowl XLIII, which as just about every knows by now features the Pittsburgh Steelers vs. the Arizona Cardinals.
The video does not provide in depth analysis of the game itself but it does give you an idea of what these 2 teams are all about.
If anyone is truly interested in my pick for the game, I feel sorry for you. I really don't have much of a track record picking winners. However be that as it may, I am going against the general consensus and picking the Cardinals.
Why the Cardinals, no real rhyme or reason. I just have a feeling that this is a Cinderella team and Kurt Warner is this years Prince Charming.
The prognosticator of Popcorn Park Zoo, Princess the Camel, made her final prediction for this years NFL season it was reported yesterday in the Asbury Park Press.
After a somewhat successful season picking the winning teams, Princess record stands at an impressive 16 - 5 .
Of her most publicized picks, the Giants over the Eagles in their NFC Divisional playoff match up and then the Eagle over the Cardinals in the NFC Championship game, Princess picked the losers.
What was her final prediction of the season ? Princess picked the Pittsburgh Steelers over the Arizona Cardinals in Super Bowl XLII.
Seems like a safe bet for me, but afer being burned twice by Princess during the playoffs, I think that I'm going with the Cardinals !
Here are my predictions for the NFL's NFC and AFC Championship games, the winners of which will meet in the Super Bowl on February 1st.
Eagles vs. Cardinals
As stated last week after the game against the Giants, I feel that the Eagles will move onto the Super Bowl with a 24 - 19 victory over the Cardinals in Arizona. However, if Kurt Warner has great game and does not turn the ball over, I can see the results being reversed.
Steelers vs. Ravens
Jersey Joe Flacco's story book year is over after this game. The Steelers have beaten the Ravens handliy twice already this season and I see no reason to think otherwise here. Big Ben will do just enough to NOT lose the game and let the Pittsburgh defense control the game.
Steelers 23 Ravens 13
It should be an all Pennsylvania Super Bowl this year.
This is welcomed news if you are a Giants fan, the prognosticating camel of Popcorn Park Zoo, Princess, has chosen the NY Giants over the Philadelphia Eagle in this weekends NFL playoff matchup of NFC East Division rivals according to the Asbury Park Press.
Princess's record in predicting the out come of NFL games this year stands at 15-3. John Bergmann, the general manager of the Popcorn Park Refuge has been quoted as saying "This is Princess' third year of picking teams. She's always had an edge, but this year is unbelievable, no human can predict, no computer can calculate winners with such accuracy."
As a big Giants fan myself, I love this prediction and will take good news anywhere I can get it. If memory serves me correctly, I believe that Princess also picked the Giants over the Patriots in the Superbowl last year.
To be fair to Eagle fans, I must mention that Princess split this years games between the two teams this year, her pick of the Giants over the Eagle in week 14 was wrong, the Eagles won that game 20-14. So I suppose the Eagles still have a small chance at victory.
