Madden NFL 16 Predicts Super Bowl 50 Winner

For the past 12 years EA Sports has been running game simulations using it's Madden NFL video game to predict the eventual outcome of the Super Bowl. In doing so, they have been able to tell us the winners of 9 of the last 12 Super Bowls with uncanny accuracy.

Last year, Madden NFL 15 not only predicted that the Patriots would win the Super Bowl, it predicted that they would come from behind in a last minute comeback to defeat the Seattle Seahawks by a score of 28-24.

It also predicted that:

• The Patriots would score first - Correct
• Tom Brady would win MVP - Correct
• Tom Brady would have 4 touchdown passes - Correct
• Julian Edelman would catch the game winning touchdown - Correct

Madden NFL 15 amazingly close to other game day stats such as:

• Tom Brady would pass for 335 yard (he throw for 328, 7 yards shy of total)
• It was only 3 yards and 1 catch away from perfectly calling Julian Edelman’s entire game.
• Halftime score 17 - 14 (game was actually tied at 14)

Thus far, last year's Madden game simulation was the most detailed and amazingly accurate one of them all.

For this year's game, which will be played on Sunday, EA Sports Madden NFL 16 once again goes out on the limb to predict the outcome of Super Bowl 50. The game will be played in San Francisco between the Caroline Panthers and the Denver Broncos.





According to the Madden 16 game simulation,Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers dominate the first half of the game by jumping out to a commanding lead of 17-0 over the Broncos. Peyton Manning and the Broncos then flip the game on its head by owning the second half and going ahead of the Panthers 20-17 in the 4th quarter. The game then comes down to game ending, final minute drive by the Panthers to win it by the score of 24-20.

How accurate will this year's game simulation be? Will it be successful in predicting the winner of the Super Bowl for the 10th time in 13 years? We'll have to wait until Sunday to find out.

Colts at Broncos AFC Divisional Playoff

In opinion, this last game of the weekend between the Indianapolis Colts and the Denver Broncos will be the least competitive of the four NFL playoff games this weekend. The Colts have no business being on the field. Their defense sucks and the only reason why they are in the playoffs is due to the play of their quarterback Andrew Luck.

Luck is a carbon copy of the guy he replaced as the Colts quarterback, Denver quarterback Peyton Manning.  Luck has great regular season and early playoff numbers but falls short because his team around him becomes exposed by superior teams this time of year, much like the Colt teams Manning lead for most of his NFL career.

The Broncos will be the superior team on the field in Denver later today. The only advantage the Colts hold over Manning and the Broncos will be the placekicking of future NFL Hall of Famer, Adam Venatieri . This game could get out of hand early but I think Andrew Luck will do his best to make it seem competitive but in reality it will be anything but. Broncos 38 Colts 23

Madden 25 Predicts Super Bowl XLVIII Winner: Broncos over Seahawks

For the tenth year in a row EA Sports has run a number of simulations using it's Madden NFL video game to predict the outcome of the NFL's biggest game - the Super Bowl. This years simulations were run using the Xbox One version of Madden NFL 25.

If you're a Broncos' fan - good news. Madden 25 says that the Broncos will defeat the Seahawks 31-28 in overtime! Now wouldn't that make this Sunday's game super special.



In its ten years history of  game simulations, EA Sports and its Madden NFL game franchise has predicted the winning team correctly 8 out 10 times with uncanny accuracy. It's good enough reason as any to place my money on the Broncos:

Princess Pick Updates; The Camel Picks'em Wrong The Past Two Weeks

For those having a little fun keeping track of Princess the Camel's NFL picks I need to give an update after missing the past two weeks, NFL weeks 10 & 11.

Last week I missed posting about Princess's choice to take the NY Giants over the S.F 49ers, I got busy with post election stuff and honey-do lists. Princess picked the Giants to beat the 49ers in that game out on the left coast believing that Eli Manning would be able to rally the team from behind once again late in the game if necessary. And if it wasn't for an injury on defense to Middle-linebacker Michael Boley, the Giants might have held their opposition and allowed Eli to make the comeback complete.

This weeks game for week 11 went off last night between the NY Jets vs the Denver Broncos. Due to the game being played on Thursday night this week, I didn't check in with Princess early enough this week to see her pick.

In last night's game, Princess like most of us, assumed that the Jets would handily take care of Tim Tebow and the Denver Broncos but you remember what the say about assuming... Poor plays on offense (interception returned for a touchdown) and defense (Tebow 20 yard touchdown run on third and 4 with a minutes to play) had the Jets crashing to earth and the Broncos sitting high in their saddles eking out the 17-13 victory.

We'll have to wait to see next week if Princess rights her recent losing ways but for those now keeping score, after losses the past two weeks Princess's record stands at 6W-5L

Two Shore Boys Taken During 1st Round Of NFL Draft

It was a big day for two Monmouth County shore boys, Knowshon Moreno and Donald Brown, both were drafted earlier today during the 1st round of the NFL's annual players draft.

Local Middletown legend Knowshon Moreno, who played football for Middletown High School South before moving onto the University of Georgia was the 12th selection in the draft, being taken by the Denver Broncos.

Here is what the scouting report had to say about Moreno:

Knowshon Moreno has the speed, strength, and ability to finish a run through, and gets up right away to get to his next touch. He is the top RB prospect this year and will make an immediate impact on the league next year. Projected to be taken some where in the teens but will instantly have a positive effect on whatever team takes him.

Atlantic Highlands native Donald Brown, played his high school ball for Red Bank Catholic before going on to star for the University of Connecticut. Brown was selected #27 by the Indianapolis Colts.

Here is what the scouting report had to say about Brown:

A solid all-around back who has shown he can be effective running inside or outside, Brown is more quick than he is strong and would be best used on counters, misdirections and in space. However, he has shown he can do everything well and has clear starter potential. Could really excel in a zone-blocking scheme.
Borderline first-round talent.

Congratulations to both Moreno and Brown, from what I have heard about both of them they are each upstanding and level headed kids who are great citizens and individuals. Both should excel in the NFL for their new teams.
