In response Congressman Pallone issued the following stated:

"Monmouth County Democrats have proven time and again they have a remarkable capacity for organizing and fighting for the principles that make our party great. In the coming weeks of this campaign we will be taking our message directly to people all across New Jersey to let them know that as United States Senator my focus will be on getting people back to work. We need to fight for New Jersey's working and middle class and I am proud to have Monmouth County Democrats by my side in that battle
