Here is an example of what I was speaking about with my last post pertaining to video recording various township meetings and broadcasting them over the Township's public access channels Comcast 20 & Verizon Fios 26. This video is from the most recent Middletown Township Board of Trustees Meeting.
Many people use the library every day and care about how it is run but don't have the time to attend one of these meeting. A lot is discussed at these meetings but the public knows very little about what transpires. There are a lot of discussions about how to make the library more responsive to the needs of the children in town, broadcasting these meetings would be a great service to the community.
At this meeting sources of revenue were discussed. A proposal was made to rent DVDs, like a Blockbuster would. However when ideas from the public were made, Board member Stephanie Murray lashed out and questioned the credentials of the speaker to see if they were qualified to make such suggestions.
Not very professional on Township Committee member Stephanie Murray's part.
Here is the meeting agenda for the 10/17/12 Library Board meeting to make it easier to follow along.

The action starts around 99:00. Murry, and others speak over the public. No surprise there, this is a common, and sad "debate" tactic.
After listening to the video, I think I heard Linda Baum say that the DVD rental thing is a good idea???
So which is it- Good or Bad???
