The Buono for Governor campaign recently released a web video, "Chrissy and Paul," highlighting the Fiorenzo family's struggle to rebuild and receive assistance after Hurricane Sandy. Nearly one year after Sandy struck, the family is still living in a trailer at Baker's Acres campground in Little Egg Harbor, as they wait for essential funds to begin repairing their home. Sandy survivors, like the Fiorenzo family, have waited long enough to move back into the homes and move forward with their lives.
The Fiorenzo's story is one that is all too familiar to many in the bayshore area that are still waiting for assistance nearly a year after the storm.

Buono Campaign Releases Statement on Christie's New Television Ad Then Follows-up With Own Ad
New Brunswick, NJ - Buono for Governor Communications Director David Turner issued the following statement in response to Governor Christie's new television ad, which goes to desperate lengths to distract voters from his failed economic record:
"In less than a week, Governor Christie has decided to forgo talking about his terrible economic record that has raised property taxes by 20 percent and left 400,000 people looking for work.
"With nothing positive to talk about, he has resorted to attacking legislation that one of his biggest supporters sponsored, and a Governor from his own party signed.
"His attempts to distract from being an abject failure on job creation and taxes are what made a columnist from the state's biggest newspaper call him America's most overrated governor."
To further set the record straight on Governor Christie’s new television advertisement, the Buono campaign released a new web video of today, “Seeing,” The web video underscores the obvious: Christie’s false rhetoric is no match for the facts. While the Governor promised record job growth, New Jersey's job creation rate is one of the worst in the nation and poverty in the Garden State is currently at a 52 year high. Despite his pledge to reduce property tax rates, average property tax rates have increased by 20 percent over the past three years. And instead of fully funding local schools, Governor Christie has cut nearly $1 billion, leaving schools devoid of necessary resources.
As Governor Christie sets his sights on national office, there is another New Jersey that has been left behind and cannot afford four more years of his failed economic policies and misplaced priorities.

Holt Web Ad - Climate Change
Speaking of Climate Change
Rush Holt released his latest Campaign for U.S. Senate web ad today on the topic of Climate Change.
“The evidence is overwhelming: Climate change is real, and humans are to blame. Humans have dumped so much carbon dioxide into the air that concentrations are up 39 percent worldwide. And the consequences are exactly what physics predicts. Every single month since 1985 has been warmer than the historic average. All 12 of the warmest years on record have come in the last 15 years.", the video states.
"We have to stop treating climate change like there’s doubt about the science. We must cap greenhouse gas emissions and end the assault that corporate interests are waging on our planet.”, Holt adds on his campaign's web page.

New Holt Web Ad Tackles Student Loans
“A few years ago, Wall Street blew up our economy – and we still haven’t recovered. For recent college grads, the unemployment rate is above 13 percent. The average starting wage is lower in real terms than in 1998. And the average student loan debt is nearly 27,000 dollars.
So if students are still reeling from Wall Street’s blunders, why on Earth would the government charge them an interest rate nine times higher than it charges Wall Street banks? It’s absurd, and there’s a better solution. We should charge students the same interest rate that the Federal Reserve charges Wall Street banks: 0.75 percent, and not a penny more.
The idea was Elizabeth Warren’s, but Elizabeth can’t pass it alone. In the Senate, I’ll fight by her side to make it the law of the land. Wall Street broke our economy. Students shouldn’t have to pay to put it back together again.”

"There's No Fried Butter in Newark"; Buono Campaign Releases New Web Ad "Right Here"
Today, the Buono for Governor campaign released a new web ad, "Right Here," highlighting how Governor Christie's national ambitions will leave New Jersey behind.
...It’s pretty easy to tell what Chris Christie is getting ready for - with so much time spent at political events, he has forgotten about us right here in New Jersey. He would rather spend time in the cornfields of Iowa, instead of on the streets of Newark....
I think the ad should have been titled, "There's No Fried Butter in Newark"

Buono for Governor Launches New Web Ad “Names”
The Buono (pronounced BWOH-no) campaign for Governor put out a charming and very funny web ad today marking the campaign's first, real step towards introducing Senator Barbara Buono to general voting public before the June 4th Primary. It should definitely help her name recognition!
(New Brunswick, NJ) - Today, the Barbara Buono (BWOH-no) for Governor campaign released a new web ad entitled “Names.” Spokesman David Turner said of the ad,
“Senator Buono might have a somewhat difficult name to pronounce but her life story is powerful. This positive ad introduces her to voters, shares Senator Buono’s compelling life story, and her Jersey roots. The ad makes sure that in November, voters will remember the Buono name."
The campaign is launching a web buy to promote the ad, in addition to using their engaged online community to share Barbara’s name.
