Hubbard Avenue December 2
Hubbard Avenue is down to one lane on December 2, until 5pm with alternating traffic near the Shadow Lake Spillway. Monmouth County is making repairs to the small bridge at the Shadow Lake spillway. Detours are in place. Please seek alternate routes.
Period lane closures are also occurring the intersection of West Front Street and Hubbard Avenue on December 2, until 5pm for minor repairs and repaving. Detours are in place. Please seek alternate routes.
County Route 520 near Jumping Brook Road December 2-12
There is a lane shift in place on County Route 520 in the area of Jumping Brook Road. The lane shift is scheduled to occur through Friday, December 5.
Next week, December 8-12, there will be a full lane closure on Route 520 for Eastbound traffic. All expect local traffic will be diverted down Swimming River Road. This is a Middletown Sewer Authority project related to the installation of new sewer pipes. Please plan alternate routes.
Sunnyside Road Closed Through December 5
Sunnyside Road is closed to through traffic while NJ Natural Gas and JF Keily Construction make improvements in the area. The work is expected to continue through Friday, December 5. Detours in place. Please plan alternate routes.
West Front Street & Half Mile Road Construction December 8-9
Periodic lane closures will occur at the intersection of West Front Street and Half Mile Road December 8-9 while the water company works on water main valves. Detours are in place. Please seek alternate routes.
West Front Street Paving December 15-19
West Front Street will be paved from curb to curb from Middletown Lincroft Road to Half Mile Road December 15-19. Detours similar to those instituted during the water main replacement project will be in place. Please find alternate routes. The paving is the last leg of the New Jersey American Water main replacement project.

2012 Swim Club Registration Underway
Middletown Township is now accepting 2012 membership registration payments. The Middletown Swim Club will be operated by the New Jersey Junior Titans Hockey Team effective Summer 2012. Tennis will not be available. We are dedicated to making this a Club you will be proud to be a part of and will enjoy for many summers to come.

Last year’s members will receive FIRST consideration in RESERVING the Bathhouse or Cabana they rented in 2011 provided their application is received with FULL PAYMENT by April 30, 2012. Please be sure to return your application in a timely manner. Any application received after April 30will be on a first come, first served basis.
At this time registration is accepted by postal mail and in-person at the Recreation Departments Administrative Office located at 900 Leonardville Road from 9 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Middletown Lincroft Rd Construction and Road Closure
The next phase of water main construction on Middletown-Lincroft Rd will began April 2, 2012. The roadway will be closed between Dwight Road and West Front St beginning on Wednesday, April 4th between the hours of 7am and 5 pm. Drivers should follow the posted detour or plan alternate route.
Park Avenue BridgePlease be advised that Park Avenue will be closed to vehicles next week, 4/9 to 4/13, during working hours. Monmouth County’s contractor will be finishing up work at Bridge MT-12.

Please don’t place material at the curb earlier than seven days before a zone’s start date as doing so creates a hazard for pedestrians and drivers. Leaves, tree stumps, lumber, plywood, fence posts, railroad ties, or garbage will not be collected.
Leaves will not be collected until Fall 2012. Residents or their landscapers can bring leaves to the Recycling Center at 52 Kanes Lane until June 1st. Brush is accepted year-round. Also, do not put brush curbside after a zone has been collected. Violators will be charged up to $750 for a separate, individual collection. Monmouth County, in cooperation with North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority, New Jersey Department of Transportation, and Federal Highway Administration, will be hosting two Public Information Center meetings regarding the replacement of Monmouth County Bridge S-17, Hubbards Bridge. The purpose of the meetings is to inform the public of the project status of the replacement of the Monmouth County Bridge S-17, Hubbards Bridge, as well as to respond to any questions you may have regarding the project. There will be a brief presentation of the project at approximately 7:30 p.m. at both meetings. These meetings are being conducted in conformance with Federal and State regulations. The public is invited and encouraged to comment on the project. The public may attend either or both meetings.
