NFL Week 13 - Princess Picks Giants v. Redskins

Not many people last week, thought that the Giants - coming off their bye week - would win their big match-up against the Green Bay Packers as easily and handily as they did. Winning the game by the score of 38-10, the NY Giants increased their winning record  to 7-4.  More impressive however, the win also increased Princess the Camel's won/loss record to an amazing 8-1.

With this week's pick, Princess is hoping to extend both her and the Giants winning ways, by picking the Giants to beat Robert Griffin III (RG3) and his Washington Redskins, Monday night down in our nation's capitol.

When questioned by her handler John about her habit of choosing the Giants lately and possible becoming a die-hard fan of the team Princess responded, "...I just call them like I see them...".

That's what I like, a camel that is self confident and cocky when it comes down to being questioned over her methodology of predicting the outcome between NFL teams.

I feel pretty good about this pick as well. I think the Giants will have some trouble containing RG3 and will give up a ton of yard on the ground, but the Giant defense will do enough against the run and take away Griffin's passing game enough for Eli and his receivers to score a few touchdowns to win a close game.  It should be a nail biter right down to the final seconds.

Princess Picks Week 15 - Giants v. Redskins

NFL week 15 is upon us and you know what that means, it's time for Princess the Camel to make her choice for this weeks game.

Last weeks correct pick of the Giants over the Cowboys made it 3 wins in a row, will this week's pick extend the winning streak to 4 games ? We'll have to wait and see.

For this week's pick, Princess goes back to the well and is taking the NY Giants to beat the Washington Redskins at home in MetLife Stadium. It's a game that the Giants should we handedly but as we all know the Giants haven't had too many easy games of late. And even thought the Redskins have been a disappointment this season they are still a dangerous team, What I posted about them when the faced the Jets in week 13 still holds true.

Here's what Princess had to say about the game:
"...the pressure's on, they (the Giants) have to win out the remaining 3 games. They've got to play their cross-town rivals Rex Ryan and his circus after this week and then the Cowboys again. So barring a let down from last week, which is always possible with the Giants, Eli should have a good game."
Princess's records stands at an impressive 9(W)-5(L) thus far this season, if either the Giants or the Jets had an equivalent record at this point of the season they would both be virtually assured playoff spots this season. I think Princess got this weeks pick right and in doing so, both her and the Giants record will for the season will improve.

Princess Picks Week 14 - Giants v. Cowboys

Week 14 of the NFL season is upon us and Princess the Camel of Lacy Township's Popcorn Park Zoo, is coming off a big win.

Last week she picked the NY Jets to beat the Washington Redskins down at FedEx Field. That pick was in jeopardy going to the 4th quarter, the Jets were down 19-13 to the Skin when all of a sudden, the Redskins imploded by giving up 21 unanswered points in the span of 7 minutes.

For this week's pick, Princess is taking the NY Giants(6-6) over the Dallas Cowboys (7-5), in Dallas on Sunday night.

So what did Princess have to say about her pick?

"... the Cowboys haven’t won a game in December since I don’t know when and then take into account the Giants 2nd half of the season collapses the last couple of years. Well, one of them is going to win by accident.", "...But they did play a good game last week even though they lost. Eli will out gun Romo."

I agree with Princess on this weeks pick, this should be a good game for the Giants. They are the better team and need to beat the Cowboys to keep their playoff hopes alive.

A win Sunday night will give the Giants a slight lead over the Cowboys in the NFC East, but to ensure a playoff spot they will have to win the rest of their games and beat the Cowboys a second time on New Years Day to guarantee it. It wont be easy but I think they will be up to the challenge.

Let's hope that Princess continues her winning ways this week.

NFL Week 13 Princess Picks - Jets v. Redskins

Coming off a win last week after picking the New Orleans Saints to beat the NY Giants, Princess the prognosticating Camel of Lacy Township Popcorn Park Zoo, is feeling pretty good about herself and her 7W-5L record.

Some (unlike me) would say that last weeks pick was a no-brainer and there was no way the Giants could beat the Saints down in Superdome, so they aren't willing to give Princess any credit for her winning pick. This week's pick by Princess isn't much different.

In a game that would on the surface seem to be another no-brainer, Princess is taking the NY Jets to beat the Washington Redskins on the road at FedX Field. I say no-brainer because conventional wisdom has the Jets beating up on the 4W-7L Redskins on Sunday, but if you succumb to conventional wisdom you may be making a big mistake this week.

The Redskins are a better team then their record would indicate even with the massive amount of injuries that the team has suffered this year. On defense the Skins rank 10th overall in passing defense and 18th against the run. What has hurt the Redskins is their offense, they are 14th overall in passing but their running game is essentially nonexistent ranking 31st in the league.

Offensively these teams are evenly match, while on defense the Jets seem to have a slight advantage, so the game isn't going to be a blowout or an easy win for the Jets if they do happen to come out on top.

Speaking of the Jets Head Coach Rex Ryan, Princess gave the follow reason as to why she picked the Jets over the Redskins tomorrow,"...Well, sometimes he has a way of rallying his team with the way he acts, and they need this game to have any chance at the playoffs."
