Dear Editor,
In the story about Neptune Township Police Sgt. Philip Seidle, who murdered his ex-wife while off-duty, aside from the fact that township police officers failed to shoot him, despite the fact Seidle had already fired shots at his wife, there are further issues with the fact that Judge Leslie-Ann Justus of the Monmouth County Superior Court failed to grant his ex-wife a restraining order.
The Monmouth County Family Court is irreparably broken as we saw with the shocking discrimination against mothers by Judge Paul Escandon, who has since been transferred to hear civil business disputes.
Both the Neptune Township Police Department and the Monmouth County Family Court have blood on their hands. We need a full investigation commissioned by the members of legislature to learn the truth.

As a victim of that failed excuse of a court I hope this is a wake up call for Monmouth county and that corrupt cesspool they call family court. This story is heart breaking in so many ways and no matter your opinion on who to blame or the triggers of the events ALL FINGERS POINT BACK TO MONMOUTH COUNTY FAMILY COURT.
I agree...Monmouth County Family Court needs to be looked at very closely. Unfortunately I cannot get the press to call me back with my story, but did just sign a complaint about Judge Sheedy. It's very heartbreaking that Judge Justus did not give Tamara her final restraining order.
Like a restraining order would have stopped him from killing her.
The system failed. Judge Justus should resign from the bench.
Does anyone have any information on the lawsuit against Monmouth County about how they deal with domestic violence cases?
