Crime Scene Middletown; Rx Fraud, Shoplifting and Theft Are A Few Highlights Of Recent Activities

On May 30, 2011 Detective First Class Daniel Sullivan conducted an investigation into a prescription fraud that occurred at the CVS Pharmacy in the Navesink section of Middletown. Detective Sullivan determined that Robert Pittius, age 31, from St. James Place in Keansburg, NJ, had forged a prescription blank for 120 Oxycodone pills and submitted it to the pharmacy.

Detective Sullivan located Pittius and arrested him on June 7, 2011. He was charged with Forgery and Receiving Stolen Property and was released pending a court date. Detective Sullivan was assisted by Detective Jason Lopez and Detective Sergeant Wayne Davis of the Keansburg Police Department.

On June 8, 211 at approximately 1:05 pm Patrolman Kevin Gardiner responded to the Sears Store in reference to a shoplifting. Upon arrival he was advised by store security that they had observed Lindsey Tweddle, age 27, from Huddy Avenue in Highlands, NJ, place over $400.00 worth of merchandise in her purse at which point she was detained.

Patrolman Gardiner placed Tweddle under arrest and transported her to police headquarters where she was charged with Shoplifting. The officer also located a Contempt of Court warrant issued by the Sayreville Municipal Court for her arrest. She was held on bail.

On June 10, 2011 Detective Kimberly Best arrested William Deppisch, age 23, from Campbell Avenue in Belford, NJ for Possession of Stolen Property as a result of an investigation into a burglary and theft of a dirt bike from a residence on Church Street in Belford that occurred on May 22, 2011.

Deppisch was processed and released pending a court date.

On June 11, 2011 at approximately 5:45 pm Patrolman Ryan Riffert responded to the Bottle King Liquor Store in reference to a report of a subject who tried to purchase alcohol with a fake driver’s license. The officer conducted an investigation which resulted in Scott Jagarnauth, age 19, from Swimming River Road in Lincroft, NJ, being arrested for Misrepresenting his age to purchase alcohol.

Police say Jagarnauth used a fake Rhode Island driver’s license to attempt to buy the alcohol. He was processed and released pending a court date.

On June 11, 2011 at approximately 9:30 pm Patrolman McNair was on patrol in the area of Myrtle Avenue when he observed a suspicious vehicle parked on the side of the road. Officer McNair approached the vehicle to speak with the occupants at which point he detected the odor of burnt Marijuana coming from inside the car.

Patrolman McNair conducted an investigation which resulted in the arrests of Elizabteh Tepper, age 20, from Georgia Avenue in Port Monmouth, NJ; Steven Mago, age 20, from Church Street in Belford,NJ and Alana Fiorella, age 19, from Wood Avenue in Port Monmouth, NJ. All three subjects were charged with Possession of under 50 grams of Marijuana and were processed and released pending a court date.

On June 12, 2011 at approximately 1:25 pm Corporal Daniel Murdoch responded to the area of Lillian Place in reference to a suspicious vehicle. Upon arrival Officer Murdoch approached the vehicle to speak with the occupants at which point he detected a strong odor of Marijuana coming from the car.

Corporal Murdoch conducted an investigation which resulted in the arrest of a 16 juvenile from Andover Street being arrested for Possession of a Prescription legend drug. He was transported to police headquarters where he was processed and released to his guardian.

On June 13, 2011 at approximately 2:15 pm Patrolman Robert Shannon responded to Middletown High School North in reference to a student found in possession of a controlled dangerous substance. Upon arrival Officer Shannon was advised by an assistant principal that a 17 year old male student had been found in possession of a Marijuana pipe and Vicoden.

Officer Shannon arrested the juvenile who was transported to police headquarters where he was processed and released to his father.

On June 13, 2011 Detective Laurence Schachtel arrested Corey Ozelas, age 24, from Campbell Avenue in Port Monmouth, NJ, and a 16 year old male juvenile, also from Campbell Avenue, for Burglary, Theft and Criminal Mischief, as a result of an investigation in reference to a burglary that occurred at a residence on Campbell Avenue on May 16, 2011 during which jewelry and electronic items were stolen.

The 16 year old juvenile was also charged with Criminal Mischief, Burglary and Theft to another residence located on Church Street in Belford that occurred on May 22, 2011.

Ozelas was held on $35,000.00 bail with no 10% option set by Judge Richard Thompson and the juvenile was released to his mother pending a court date.

The Middletown Police Department arrested the following people on warrants:

Patrolman Stephen Greenwood arrested a 17 year old female juvenile June 7, 2011 on a Contempt of Court warrant issued by the Middletown Municipal Court. She was released after posting $250.00 bail.

Stephen Casper, age 48, from Leonardville Road, arrested on June 7, 2011 by Patrolman John Mele on a Contempt of Court warrant out of Bradley Beach Municipal Court. He was released on his own recognizance.

Marcos Varela Serrano, age 25, from East Sunset Avenue in Red Bank, NJ arrested on June 8, 2011 by Patrolman Stephen Greenwood on a Contempt of Court warrant issued by the Long Branch Municipal Court. He was released after posting $300.00 bail.

David Gonzalez, age 65, from Burlington Avenue in Leonardo, NJ, arrested on June 8, 2011 by Patrolman Stephen Greenwood on a Contempt of Court warrant issued by the Middletown Municipal Court. He was released after posting $500.00 bail.

Harold Johnson, age 29, from Harbor Way in Middletown, arrested on June 8, 2011 by Patrolman Keith Hirschbein on two Contempt of Court warrants issued by the Middletown Municipal Court. He was released after posting bail.

Ahmed Abdelwahed, age 39, from Alden Street in Wallington, NJ, arrested on June 8, 2011 by Patrolman Keith Hirschbein on a Contempt of Court warrant issued by the Sayreville Municipal Court. He was released after posting $1369.00 bail.

Edward Isaksen, age 50, from Main Street in Belford, NJ, arrested on June 8, 2011 by Patrolman Jason Caruso on a Non- Support warrant issued by the Monmouth County Superior Court. He was released after posting $2,417.49 bail.

James Mcgee, age 43, from Highway 36 in Leonardo, NJ, arrested on June 9, 2011 by Patrolman Anthony Gigante on two Contempt of Court warrants issued by the Matawan Municipal Court and the Woodbridge Municipal Court. He was held on $2,750.00 bail.

Taylor Tabasco, age 20, from Jersey Avenue in Union Beach, NJ, arrested on June 9, 2011 by Patrolman David Crenshaw, on a Middletown warrant. She was released after posting bail.

Christopher Aiello, age 23, from Fox Wood Run in Middletown, NJ, arrested on June 10, 2011 by Patrolman Nicholas Fenezia on a Contempt of Court warrant issued by the Eatontown Municipal Court. He was held on bail.

Dana Parisi, age 47, from Grand Avenue in Atlantic Highlands, NJ, arrested on June 10, 2011 by Patrolman Nicholas Fenezia on a Contempt of Court warrant issued by the Middletown Municipal Court. She was held on $500.00 bail.

Adam Stranges, age 19, from Seabreeze Avenue in Middletown, NJ, arrested on June 10, 2011 by Patrolman Stephen Keller on a Contempt of Court warrant issued by the Middletown Municipal Court. He was held on $1,000 bail.

Sean Haviland, age 19, from Park Avenue in Middletown, NJ, arrested on June 10, 2011 by Patrolman Charles Higgins on warrants signed by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office narcotics Strike Force Bayshore Unit. He was held on bail.

Louis Neri, age 24, from Aberdeen Road in Aberdeen, NJ, arrested on June 11, 2011 by Sgt. William Straniero on a Contempt of Court warrant issued by the Middletown Municipal Court. He was released after posting $750.00 bail.

Shontay Parker, age 27, from Woodlake Manor in Lakewood, NJ, arrested on June 11, 2011 by Patrolman Frank Mazza on a Contempt of Court warrant issued by the Keansburg Municipal Court. She was held on $165.00 bail.

Emanuel Green, age 38, from Ridgewood Avenue in Newark, NJ, arrested on June 13, 2011 by Patrolman Nicholas Fenezia on a Contempt of Court warrant. He was released after posting $1,000.00 bail.

William Bintliff, age 45, from Clavedon Court in Middletown, NJ, arrested on June 13, 2011 by Patrolman Kevin Gardiner on a warrant issued by the Middletown Municipal Court. He was held on bail.

Thomas Hardie, age 29, from Hosford Avenue in Leonardo, NJ, arrested on June 13, 2011 by Patrolman Nicholas Fenezia on a warrant issued by the Middletown Municipal Court. He was held on $2,500.00 bail.
