Get Your Donuts Here!

Today is National Free Donut Day so if you need a quick sugar fix make sure you get down to your local Dunkin Donuts, Krispy Kreme  or other participating establishment of your choice for a free donut today with the purchase of any beverage.

If a national chain's run of the mill donut aren't to your liking, head over to Delicious Orchards in Colts Neck today and get a free apple cider donut with the purchase of any size coffee or cider. If you want to stay closer to Middletown and enjoy a free donut, head over to the good folks at Duck Donuts, where you can also get a free donut with a purchase of any size beverage. It's a great deal!

Interestingly, National Free Donut Day wasn't the idea of some mass marketer in an ivory tower looking for ways to increase sales. The day was established by the Salvation Army back in 1938 to raise funds during the Great Depression and honor the female volunteers, who supported the soldiers on the front lines during World War I, serving donuts to American soldiers in France in 1917.
