No Show Smith

sloanesjacket
Published on Jul 24, 2017
Rep. Chris "No Show" Smith (NJ-04) has not held a public town hall in nearly 25 years. Instead, he prefers to spend his time demonizing his constituents on talk radio and in the op-ed pages of the local paper, rubbing elbows with campaign donors, and taking it easy in his home of the last few decades in Herndon, VA. He has yet to say anything challenging the increasingly-disturbing Trump administration, probably because he's made a bargain to continue fawning over 45 in exchange for the ability to advance his misogynistic, homophobic, anti-choice agenda.

NJ District 4 Town Hall, Feb. 22nd

District 4 Collation For Change is having a town hall meeting with or without Congressman Chris Smith, Wednesday, February 22nd at the Manalapan branch of the Monmouth County Library.

Send Congressmen Chris Smith a Valentine this year and ask him when will he hold a Town Hall meeting.

Here is how you can do it!

To N.J. congressmen: If you're not battling travel ban, you're backing bigotry

Congressmen Chris Smith & Tom MacArthur are on the wrong side of history (and morality) on this bigotry.

By Joshua Henne
posted on NJ.com

History will remember - and harshly judge -- every elected official supporting President Trump's travel ban of seven Muslim nations and refugees around the globe. Simply put, if you're not battling the ban, you're backing bigotry.

Sadly, Congressmen Chris Smith (R-N.J. 4th Dist.) and Tom MacArthur (R-N.J. 3rd Dist.) displayed profiles in cowardice by defending this executive order exploiting immigrants, endangering troops and risking the future of all Americans.

After taking their sweet time contemplating whose side they're on, Smith and MacArthur chose the wrong side of morality and history. Thankfully, federal Judge James Robart halted the ban nationwide after finding "no support" for claims "we have to protect the U.S. from individuals" from Iran, Syria, Iraq, Somalia, Yemen, Sudan and Libya.

However, the checks-and-balances of America's courts stopping our executive branch's unconstitutional, immoral overreach doesn't let Congress off the hook.

"The executive order is a pause as we find a way to secure and protect Americans while acting with compassion for humanitarian refugees," Smith told NJ Advance Media.

Smith's parsing of words is particularly disappointing after the name he's made for himself on humanitarian missions these past 36 years. He's won awards for work in troubled hotspots like Iraq, Darfur and South Sudan. Yet, now he's turned a blind eye towards the plight of refugees and the splitting of families with green cards from the very areas he's garnered global headlines in.

These past few weeks, while tweeting and facebooking about abortion, Smith's pro-life claims ring hollow since he hasn't uttered a peep about the vulnerable lives imperiled by the travel ban:

*The 4-month-old Iranian girl with a heart condition barred from travelling to Oregon for dire scheduled-surgery.
*The 9-year-old in a Somali refugee camp requiring treatment for congenital heart disease.
*The toddler badly-burned at an Iraqi refugee camp set for follow-up surgery in Boston, but whose father can't get back to hold his son.

Turning away immigrants based on faith is decidedly un-American. It undermines our values. Even Dick Cheney said, "This whole notion that somehow we can just say no more Muslims, just ban a whole religion, goes against everything we stand for and believe in."

Some Republicans -- such as U.S. Sens. John McCain, Susan Collins and Lindsey Graham-- spoke out. Closer to home, Pennsylvania Reps. Charlie Dent (R-5th Dist.) and Brian Fitzpatrick (R-8th Dist.) came out against it. New Jersey's three other Republicans, Reps. Rodney Frelinghuysen (R-11th Dist.). Leonard Lance (R-7th Dist.), and Frank LoBiondo (R-2nd Dist.) have also been critical. Even corporations like Coca-Cola, Apple and Amazon piped up.

Last Summer, addressing New Jersey's delegation as the only congressman attending Trump's RNC Cleveland coronation, MacArthur declared, "Everybody for the most part is looking for the same things. People are just trying to better their lives. They're just trying to lift their families up. They're trying to get further than they started."

Apparently, this was hollow lip service. When it came to Trump's travel ban, MacArthur "applauded him for acting," even though the measure smacks the very opposite of that lofty rhetoric.

Farleigh Dickinson's latest poll shows 53 perent of New Jerseyans believing Trump's foreign policy inexperience leaves America more vulnerable to those who wish to do us harm. Our representatives would be wise to listen to their constituents.

Electoral blowback will come for those supporting bigotry. But, you don't have to take my word for it. Here's just two of the hundreds of immediate rejoinders to MacArthur's Facebook post on the ban:

"In the last election I voted for you, but not Trump, because I knew what a Trump Presidency would do to this country, and it's coming true. For you to defend him puts the way of my voting for you in the future in jeopardy. Rethink your decision."

"I thought with some of your other issues you were level-headed and worked across party lines so this statement today was even more disappointing. I as a strong Democrat even voted for you because of it. Today made me question my vote...I'm very sad to see you take a stance like this."

In December, MacArthur heartwarmingly cut red tape so a soldier could formally adopt his gravely ill step-son, making the boy's Christmas wish come true. I only wish MacArthur showed the same compassion for immigrant families split apart and refugee children needing life-saving treatment. If only he'd look out for all military families by opposing measures making soldiers less safe.

Recently, 10 former bipartisan security officials and diplomats said Trump's ban could endanger troops abroad and fuel the Islamic State's recruitment and radicalization. It doesn't just propel propaganda for our enemies abroad, but frays relationships between Muslim communities and local law enforcement here at home.

On Martin Luther King Day, MacArthur tweeted a video-clip about "living with purpose and courage" above a photo of MLK with the quote, "The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy."

These were his last tweets for the month - through Trump's inauguration, his slew of controversial actions and the travel ban. The uncourageous silence by MacArthur and Smith have them acting like very small men, indeed.

Those supporting Trump's bigotry will be viewed the same way history casts those who supported Jim Crow or South African apartheid and those against women's suffrage or marriage equality.

Letter: Hands Off Assata Shakur

The expressed opinions or views of this letter does not necessarily represent the opinion of the MiddletownMike blog:

Dear Editor,

I am outraged at Congressman Chris Smith's recent legislative attempts to remove Black Panther activist, and my personal hero, Assata Shakur from her home in Cuba and return her to certain death in a New Jersey prison cell, for a crime she did not commit.

As an activist for the civil rights of the descendants of African slaves, Assata was targeted by the FBI in the 1960s and 1970s under the COINTELPRO program, which sought to destroy those that the racist, imperialist U.S. government deemed to be a threat to their hegemonic system, by advocating peace and equality.

After 7 separate felony trials in which Assata was acquitted of various serious offenses she was clearly not guilty of, the feds finally succeed in securing a false conviction against Assata, by claiming in a racist Middlesex County court that she had shot a state trooper. However the medical evidence presented at trial demonstrated that she had been shot with her hands in the air, and is therefore innocent.

Assata Shakur, a woman, was thrown into a men's prison and put into solitary confinement. Thankfully, the heroes of the Black Liberation Army broke her out of the cage and got her to safety in Cuba. The Cuban government reviewed the evidence and determined she was innocent and granted her political asylum. She is not a fugitive, but a refugee, recognized as such by the Cuban authorities.

The U.S. and New Jersey authorities are embarrassed that a modern-day slave escaped from their shackles and still want her dead. Because of this, they have been relentless in offering to pay others to kidnap her from Cuba, and have conducted a diplomatic dog and pony show in an attempt to put her back into a cage, where she would be condemned to extrajudicial execution.

Everyone should be outraged that Assata Shakur (the godmother of late rapper Tupac) is still under threat from the American authorities, and the voters must ensure that Congressman Chris Smith is never again re-elected.

Hands off Assata. Power to the People. Long live the noble veterans of the Black Liberation Army. Down with racism. ¡Hasta la Victoria Siempre!

Letter: Women In The 4th Congressional District Deserve Better

The expressed opinions or views of this letter does not necessarily represent the opinion of the MiddletownMike blog:

As a District 4 constituent, I have contacted Congressman Chris Smith’s office on two issues that affect women in New Jersey. Statistics show that 52 women a month are killed due to domestic abuse in America (more than any other developed nation), but Smith, along with many other congressmen, has refused to support expanded national universal background checks that would help keep guns out of the hands of dangerous people. He has also voted against the Violence Against Women Act.

Smith’s voting record on women’s health care has resulted in the shuttering of accessible neighborhood health care clinics, necessitating expensive, long-distance travel for women who care for sick children, elderly parents or themselves. Turning the clock back on reproductive rights increases the suffering of women when access to a safe abortion is removed, especially in cases of rape, incest or to save the life of the mother.

Smith’s bill to block private insurance and flexible spending money from paying for birth control also affects a couple’s right to plan for their family’s future and again causes undue financial burden.

In this election season, we have an opportunity to choose a forward-thinking candidate who will stand firm to help women on these issues, as well as increase aid in areas such as education, income equality, child welfare and social justice. After 36 years, District 4 deserves a representative who is interested in tackling head on all the issues that pose a threat to our health and well-being.

Chris Smith's Words Have Consequences

For Immediate Release:
1/27/16

WHY IS CONGRESSMAN CHRIS SMITH NJ (D4 - R) STILL TALKING ABOUT BODY PARTS?

D4CC calls for Chris Smith to cease using the fraudulent smear videos and hateful lies to spread his EXTREME agenda.

Eleven states have found no evidence of wrongdoing by Planned Parenthood and eight states declined to investigate. The only people who engaged in wrongdoing are the criminals behind the fraudulent videos.

We are glad they are being held accountable but Congressman Chris Smith NJ (R), Chair of the Congressional Pro Life Caucus, continues to use the videos as justification for pushing his anti-abortion agenda.

Smith's words have consequences. The rhetoric comparing Planned Parenthood to "baby killers" and murderers is what provoked the Planned Parenthood shooting in Colorado where three innocent people died and left six children without a parent.

As Chair of the Congressional Pro Life Caucus and an elected member of Congress, Smith has a responsibility to rule with integrity and honesty.

Chris Smith Speech on Roe v Wade Anniversary - 1/22/16

Recent undercover videos by Center for Medical Progress have exposed in numbing candor several high level Planned Parenthood leaders gleefully talking about procuring children’s organs for a price, all while altering gruesome dismemberment procedures to preserve “intact” livers, hearts and lungs from freshly killed babies.

Watch the videos yourself at centerformedicalprogress.org.

LETTER: N.J. congressman shouldn’t live in Virginia

The following letter appears on the Asbury Park Press website and has been shared rather extensively on social media:

As Congress breaks and members of Congress go to their home states, our Monmouth/Ocean County congressman, Chris Smith, goes home to Virginia. Smith has not been a resident of New Jersey for more than 30 years. He moved full time to Virginia after his second term. Smith raised his children in Virginia where they received Virginia in-state tuition for college.

Smith was not here for 9/11, Hurricane Irene or superstorm Sandy. He does not drive on our roads, shop in our stores, contribute to our economy, sit in our traffic or live among us. Smith does not share our collective experience as a community. He is not one of us so how can we expect him to represent us properly?

The law requires that our elected congressional representative obtain a habitat in the state they represent. Smith has maintained an empty town home in Mercer County and owns a home in Virginia. Smith comes to New Jersey a handful of times a year to make appearances.

In 2015, Smith voted to block birth control from being covered by private insurance, voted to allow bosses to fire women for using birth control, IVF, being unwed and pregnant, voted to defund breast and cervical cancer screenings for women, and sponsored a bill to allow LGBT discrimination based on religious beliefs.

Our community is moderate. Smith is an extremist who lives in Virginia. Why do we put up with it?

Letter: It's Time New Jersey Embraces LGBT Equality

The expressed opinions or views of this letter does not necessarily represent the opinion of the MiddletownMike blog:

Dear Editor,

Now that the right to marriage equality for LGBT couples across America has been affirmed by the highest court of the land, it is time that New Jersey begins working to further embrace equality and diversity.

The New Jersey legislature must mandate that LGBT history classes become a part of New Jersey middle and high school curriculum. This will help fight any remaining intolerance before it makes it's way into adult society. Additionally local colleges, such as Ocean County College and Brookdale Community College should begin offering an LGBT studies major.

As the tourism industry is one of New Jersey's largest employers, let's build a life size monument to the late, great Harvey Milk and build the world's biggest LGBT history museum in Asbury Park. We would bring in tourists and send a strong message of equality to the world.

Additionally, we all must organize to ensure the patently evil homophobia of Congressman Chris Smith results in him losing the next election and never being elected to public office ever again. Stopping this hateful man's re-election to the U.S. House of Representatives should be a top priority of activists. If we don't stop him now, the hate he propagates will result in violence.

OP-ED: WE NEED TO CHANGE POLICY DIRECTION TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN WOMEN’S LIVES

The following Op-ed, written by Monmouth County Democrat Roz Ressner was posted yesterday on NJ Spotlight

Women have listened closely to Congressman Chris Smith’s concerns; now it’s up to him to return the favor and listen to us

Women have listened to Congressman Chris Smith’s speeches on abortion issues. We take into consideration the convictions that propel him to enact healthcare legislation that impacts a woman’s most personal medical needs, but now ask that he listen to those voices he professes to care about. They are young teens and women -- married and single moms, those who are childless, those unable to conceive.

To a great extent, the ability to provide a safe, loving family environment is dependent upon quality of education and the financial stability provided to women. For most, bringing a child into the world is a joyous event, but oftentimes it is overshadowed by untenable situations -- low-paying jobs with little or no access to healthcare, too-short maternity leave, no flex time when children are sick. Fear of losing one’s job often results in children being left to fend for themselves or unsafe childcare. We can all agree that desperate women make desperate decisions.

Women have listened to Congressman Smith’s speech about HR7, misleadingly called “The No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act.” Its real premise is that funds derived from an employee’s health insurance plan or pretax personal flex-spending account cannot be used to purchase contraceptives -- this being tantamount to so-called “abortion services” or taxpayer dollars paying for government-funded abortions. It further penalizes employers whose insurance packages include reproductive health benefits.

It is a known fact that the pill helps to reduce the risk of ovarian and endometrial cancer and is used for other serious conditions related to women’s health. Unless one believes that the pill (or other forms of contraception) is solely used as a form of abortion or a prevention of pregnancy, then “The No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act” is truly a misnomer, allowing “fiction to win over fact.” Therefore, to deny insurance benefits forcing women to pay out-of- pocket for their medical expenses creates undue hardship to already strained budgets.

Congressman Smith has voted repeatedly for the Personhood Bill, which gives a fetus the same rights as an adult human, bans birth control, stem-cell research, and in-vitro fertilization. For thousands of women who require medical intervention, this bill would seriously threaten their ability to seek IVF treatment to become parents.

Congressman Smith rails against the sex-trafficking trade. Yet he did not vote for The Violence Against Women Act, even though hundreds of women are victims of rape, kidnapping, and forced prostitution every day. Women in trouble or who require affordable reproductive healthcare and screenings visit Planned Parenthood’s 700 health centers in the U.S. This provider offers educational programs that teach teens about the seriousness and great responsibility of parenthood. Yet these clinics are constantly under fire because 3 percent of their healthcare is for abortion services. Alas, there will always be abortions, safe, botched, or worse. Is there anything we can do to alter this landscape?

Yes, women have listened to Mr. Smith’s impassioned speeches, and although we respect his beliefs, they have caused a great divide. We ask now that his indefatigable energy be used to make a constructive difference; first, by promoting sex education -- proven successful in lowering the risk of teen pregnancy and reducing abortion rates -- and secondly, by enacting legislation that supports training, for higher-paying jobs, income equality, affordable housing, and childcare. Only then will women be able to make positive, empowered decisions. If asked, women will tell him that all of the above would be the answer to their prayers. Women have listened and now respectfully ask that he would do the same.

DEMOCRATS CONDEMN REP. SMITH FOR SUGGESTING THAT LGBT COMMUNITY DOES NOT DESERVE HUMAN RIGHTS

(Trenton) -- The Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Caucus of the New Jersey Democratic State Committee excoriated New Jersey Republican Congressman Chris Smith for saying he does “not construe homosexual rights as human rights" and for insinuating that U.S. opposition to anti-LGBT legislation negatively impacts our country’s engagement in Nigeria.

Smith’s comments are particularly offensive given that he serves as Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs’ Subcommittee on Africa, Global Health, Global Human Rights, and International Organizations —a position from which human rights should be defended, not attacked.

“It’s simple: LGBT rights are human rights. It’s shocking that Smith — or anyone in his position — would make such close-minded comments to the contrary. For a person in his position to dehumanize such a large segment of our society and to suggest that members of the LGBT community are creating hurdles for U.S. diplomats is appalling on so many levels,” said Chris Hillmann, LGBT Caucus Co-Chair. “Representative Smith should apologize for trying to pit some people’s human rights against those of of others.”

"Once again our Congressman has disrespected his constituents and put people in danger half way across the globe. With all the tragedies occurring in Africa surrounding the LGBT community one would think that a Congressman would understand his words can be destructive. We must speak as one voice to protect all lives from atrocities no matter where they happen. All lives matter," said Ed Zipprich, an openly-gay City Councilman in Red Bank, New Jersey.

According to the national LGBT advocate group, the Human Rights Campaign (HRC), Smith’s comments came on a day when 12 men were reportedly arrested for simply attending an alleged LGBT wedding in Nigeria. Not surprisingly, Smith received a “0” on HRC’s Congressional Scorecard.

By contrast, President Obama made history by acknowledging LGBT people during his recent State of the Union Address, and he recognizes that gaining equal protection under the law for the LGBT community must be part of the larger discussion of human rights and national security.

Smith's Anti Choice Legislation written into Permanent Law?

Smith Introduces and co-sponsors one of the largest Pro - Life  efforts in Congress.

In a letter to his colleagues asking them to become an original co-sponsor of the legislation, Congressman Smith writes:
“For over 30 years, a patchwork of policies has regulated federal funding for abortion. Together these various policies ensure that the American taxpayer is not involved in funding the destruction of innocent human life through abortion on demand.”

Smith's No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act attempts to write anti choice legislation into permanent law

The reason this legislation is needed goes beyond the recent health care law. As Congressman Smith states:
“Most of the existing federal policies are limitation amendments attached to annual appropriations bills (sometimes referred to as riders), which have to be reapproved every year. This ‘as needed’ approach usually results in a debate over abortion funding anytime Congress considers health-related legislation.”

This new legislation establishes a consistent government-wide prohibition on abortion funding. Under current law, funding for abortion and abortion coverage is prohibited through a patchwork of policies, most of which must be annually reapproved in Appropriations bills. The “No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act” will reduce the need for numerous separate abortion funding policies and ensure that no program or agency is exempt.

Policies that would be made permanent under Congressman Smith’s legislation include:

  • Hyde amendment (related to programs funded through the annual Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) appropriations)
  • Helms amendment (concerning overseas programs)
  • Smith FEHBP amendment (concerning coverage for federal employees)
  • Dornan amendment (regarding funding in Washington DC)
  • Other policies governing programs such as the Peace Corp and federal prisons.
  • Codifies the conscience clause known as Hyde-Weldon.

http://www.catholicadvocate.com/2010/08/seeking-to-settle-taxpayer-funded-abortion-
once-and-for-all/

Last January 2014, Congress passed Smith's Bill The No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act. The Senate would not vote on it.

The New GOP Congress will be voting on the NO TAXPAYER FUNDING FOR ABORTION ACT.
The President should VETO it but... the Veto is the ONLY thing that prevents this Bill from becoming PERMANENT LAW.

Our Congressman, Chris Smith, leads Congress in the most egregious anti woman, anti choice legislation. It is up to us to stop him.

What are we doing to our kids?
Gun Violence is homegrown terrorism and we do not need to live this way.

It's up to us. District 4 Congressman Chris Smith refuses to support expanded National Universal Background Checks. District 4 overwhelmingly supports UBC. Why won't Smith do his his job and represent this community.

Call Congressman Chris Smith and insist that he support current legislation to expand safe, common sense practices that protect our children.

Smith's office will tell you rhetoric about how he has supported gun reform which dates back 20 years. The things Smith voted for in the past are no longer relevant due to changes in the laws. Congressman Chris Smith's Opposition to Birth Control Is A Driving Force Behind “Life Begins At Fertilization” Bills

District 4 Coalition for Change -

We have two years to make sure every single person that cares about Women's Rights and Healthcare in Congressional D4 NJ is aware of Smith's Extremism. We will not lose again!

Chris Smith, Chairman Of The House Pro-Life Caucus, Argued That Common Forms Of Birth Control That Prevent Implantation Result In “Many Abortions.” According to the Congressional Record, Smith stated:

“Mr. Chairman, due to the lateness of the hour, I do not intend on taking the full 5 minutes. Let me make it very clear that part of the problem with the Lowey amendment was that it did not define contraception. Many of us have been concerned that the pro-abortion lobby and the pro-abortion organizations over the years have tried to fudge the line of demarcation between fertilization post- and pre-fertilization. Many of the chemicals, many of the devices that are now employed that are permitted under the Federal Employees Health Benefits Program do indeed result in many abortions, newly created human lives that are not permitted to implant in their mother’s womb. In a nutshell, my amendment is designed to clarify that if we are indeed going to force all of the Federal providers of medical care, the HMOs and all the providers as a condition of receiving reimbursement for all of their prescriptions, whether it be for penicillin or any other drug, that they have, to provide “a provision for contraceptive coverage”, let us at least make it clear that the gentle lady’s language excludes abortion-inducing chemicals. That is what my amendment very simply seeks to do.” [144 Cong Rec H 5951, 7/20/98]

THE Congressman CHRIS SMITH PACKAGE.

By District 4 Coalition for Change

A Republican supporter of our movement to #stopchrissmith told us that her Republican friends were going to vote for the whole package, regarding Chris Smith.

So, we decided to review what is in the Chris Smith Package and here are our TOP TEN reasons to VOTE AGAINST Chris Smith.

1. Voted to close the government - closing parks, impacting veteran benefits and putting people out of work.

2. Voted for the Ryan Budge - cutting benefits for Veterans, the elderly and cuts long term care for the disabled and autistic. Also, reopens the prescription drug "Donut hole" impacting the elderly.
The Consortium for Disabled Persons, the Veterans and the Autistic Society urged Smith to NOT vote YES on the Ryan Budget - but he voted as a GOP block anyway and ignored is constituents.

3. He has not lived in NJ for over 30 years. His children received Virginia In State tuition for college. He was not here for 9/11, Irene or Sandy. Which is probably why he made an oath to NOT support any climate change legislation unless it also provided tax cuts for the biggest polluters, the Koch Brothers who wrote the pledge!

4. He voted Against Wage Fairness in 2014

5. Voted for Personhood over and over again. Personhood gives a fetus the same rights as an adult human. Personhood BANS ALL birth control, stem cell research and in - vitro fertilization.

6. Wrote Bill, HR3, redefining the language of rape to forcible rape. Women would have to be beaten, bloody or worse to prove they were raped based on Smith's definition.

7. Voted to OUTLAW the Birth Control Pill.

8. Smith is Against CHOICE even in cases of RAPE, INCEST and to SAVE THE LIFE OF THE MOTHER.

9. Smith refuses to support common sense expanded Universal Background Checks that keep guns out of the hands of rapists, criminals, domestic abusers and terrorists. Even after 87 school shootings, Smith will not support Gun Reform.

10. Voted Against the VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN'S ACT IN 2013.

To boot, Smith will not support Marriage Equality.

Is that the package that the Republican's are voting for?

Who in this District does he actually represent?

Help us #stopchrissmith and his #waronwomen by sharing Smith's voting record and #GOTV

Letter: Congressman Smith would rather play politics

The following letter appeared over at CentralJersey.com:

Congressman Chris Smith recently voted against reauthorizing the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA).

This legislation, which had enjoyed bipartisan support since it was first passed in 1994, is crucial in providing funding for domestic violence and sexual assault programs all across the country, including funding for the forensic exams done by sexual assault nurse examiners to collect evidence from victims, and funding for domestic violence shelters and other victim services.

Why did Chris Smith and other House Republicans vote against VAWA this time? Because the bill provided non-discrimination protections for victims who are members of the LGBT community and because it provided special rules for dealing with victims who are undocumented immigrants or Native Americans and are willing to cooperate with law enforcement.

As the whole nation recently saw in the Ray Rice video of the incident in the elevator, domestic violence is ugly and brutal. The National Football League is beginning to understand the issues involved and seems to want to be part of the solution. Congressman Smith, it seems, would rather play politics.

By voting against reauthorizing VAWA, Congressman Chris Smith has once again shown that he puts his own personal and party ideology over the interests of his constituents, especially female voters. It’s time for a change.
