National Safety Council: Leading safety into the future: Teen driving

My son recently received his driver's license and like most parents, my wife and I are very concerned about his safety behind the wheel. The 1st thousand miles of  a teen's driving experience is the most riskiest of his or hers life. Motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of teenage death in the U.S., killing more than homicide, suicide and disease combined.
