There is no greater public service performed than that of firefighters, law enforcement officers and emergency medical service personnel. We need to recognize this everyday and know that there is no guarantee that these public servants will return home after their shift.
This endorsement recognizes my hard work and commitment to represent the brave first responders that always keep our communities safe. We must take care of those families who have lost loved ones while they were in the line of duty serving and protecting us all. I pledge to advocate for and protect the pensions and other benefits which were previously and in good faith collectively bargained for. Our first responders have and continue to meet their financial commitments to the state and now it’s time for NJ to do the same.
