I haven't had time to watch the video of last week's meeting of the Middletown Township Committee that our friends at Middletown Open Government, posted to their Youtube channel yet but I hope to watch it sometime over the weekend.
Here are some of the highlights:
- A new police officer was sworn in.
- The Belford Chemical Fire Co celebrated 100 years as an organization.
- An ordinance was adopted to set fees for events at parks where alcohol is served at $3,500.
- A resolution was adopted expressing dissatisfaction over the plan for JCP&L to install high voltage lines along the NJ Transit right of way.
At this time the usual link to the Meeting Agenda for this meeting is unavailable for posting. The Township has been dragging it's feet producing documents of the proposed resolutions, ordinances and bill list that is requested each month through OPRA requests. The documents are then imbedded into the Meeting Agenda by a volunteer and then posted for public view on Archive.org. Once the documents are sent and the agenda is prepared, I'll post the link.
