Add this to the bridge work on Front Street, and it is going to be quite a headache getting around.
From the Middletown Township website:
The NJ Transit railroad crossing at Navesink River Road between Hubbard Avenue and Route 35 is scheduled to close on or about Monday, August 18. This is a 24-hour, 7-day-week closure. The closure will be in effect for approximately 10 to 12 days.
This will not affect rail transportation but will affect Navesink River Road (Monmouth County Road 12A). Traffic will NOT be allowed to cross. NJ Transit must complete this emergency repair work before schools starts.
Please plan to use alternate routes. Truck and car detours will be in place. Call the Middletown Police Traffic Bureau at 732-615-2045 with questions.
