♫ Ginsburg's Hobby Lobby Dissent

Justice Ginsburg wrote a blistering dissent  yesterday that tore into the Supreme Court's Hobby Lobby ruling that stated that the Obamacare birth control mandate violates the 1993 Religious Freedom Restoration Act.

Musician Jonathan Mann,  took Justice Ginsburg's dissenting words and put them into a song that very quickly went viral on the web after Mother Jones posted his video on their website.

Take a look, it's epic!

Do you and this singer even know what this decision was? The 2 examples that were given in this song were: (1) an IUD costs the same amount as the full time pay for a worker making min. wage; and (2) use of contraception should be between a woman and her doctor. Both of these things were not even addressed by the suit or impacted by the Supreme Court decision!

Hobby Lobby did not seek to deny covering contraception, only the 4 abortion medications that are out there (like the morning after pill). Hobby Lobby said they were OK with providing coverage for 16 other contraception based medications and/or devices and didn't sue to deny coverage for these.

Just as we saw with this video, this decision will be used as way to continue the propaganda that there is a so-called right wing "war on women" (which was an idea created by the left wing to create fear).

Most of the people protesting don't even know the details of this suit or the SC decision.

Tell It Like It Really Is said...

It is long past time to get the government out of our bedrooms. There is no man that clearly can make decisions about a woman's body....he does not live in it.
Only an "accident" of birth determines the sex of a human being .

Discrimination against women is as old as time and it's long past time for that biased exercise of power to STOP! Maybe it's time to castrate a few these ignorant men who think they can think or act for the women in this world.

Abortion would not be needed if men thought about the consequences of the sex act and the responsibilities that go with copulation. Life is not all fun and games !!!

Life is not all about money either and that's an admonishment for those whose values are cast in dollars and cents....not in common sense !

Ruth Bader Ginsberg is a thoughtful and very intelligent SC justice and her viewpoint is well taken......this is not the end of this issue, it's only the beginning.
