Well I can see this being a real pain in the butt!
Recently posted on Middletown Township website:
Starting Monday, May 19, West Front Street will be closed in both directions near Jumping Brook Bridge (near the Stevenson Tract) for approximately four weeks. Please follow the posted detour. Residents West of Jumping Brook Bridge will need to access their homes from the West. People East of the Bridge need to access their homes from the East. The Shady Oaks community should access their homes using Middletown-Lincroft Road during this time. Adjustments are being made to school bus stops to ensure affected students are picked up and dropped off safely. The closure is part of an ongoing New Jersey American Water project to install new a water main on West Front Street from Middletown-Lincroft Road to Half Mile Road.

Just ask the people on the Swimming River Road corridor ........The construction was a pain in the butt and a couple of the cops were worse than pains in the butt....and the TC was no help at all....not a one of them.Zilch....
Oh my, so the TC was no help at all. What did you expect them to do, stand there and hold the pipes together? Direct traffic? What does the committee have to do with a utility job? Oh that's right...you'll use ANY opportunity to smear them...doesn't matter if your slur makes any sense.
Lincroft Dog ? ...as usual ? your head up your posterior ....the TC was kissing the butt end of one lying local who is a low life political operative from the affected area.
The problems made the newspapers !
There were many residents adversely affected that the TC could have helped.
Next time you open your mouth, attempt to know what your talking about !
Just wait till W.Front St. is closed for the bridge reconstruction and you'll see what pipe installations and bridge closings can do when you want to get into Red Bank.
Why don't you read a newspaper.. better yet,if you know nothing about anything....shut your mouth.
If you are really from the Lincroft section of Middletown , you should be fully aware of the problems during the pipe installation for N.J. Natural Gas and American Water back in 2008 time period. It required a 10 mile detour out to Colts Neck to get to the schools, the banks, the grocery stores, the post office ,the church,,the college etc. on Newman Springs Road from the SRR area.
This went on for several months.
Happy motoring when they close the W.Front St, bridge for some months in the near future.
And the TC could have helped and did nothing !!!
Yes, I read the newspaper. And yes, I AM from Lincroft. And yes, I am frustrated and inconvenienced when UTILITY work causes road closures and detours, and no, I am not looking forward to more headaches when they close the West Front Street bridge. BUT, I fail to see why you would hold the township committee responsible for utility and road work. They have nothing to do with it. Just how could they have helped the situation. Direct traffic?
OPEN THE EMERGENCY CONNECTION that exists
(and was created for just that reason ) between Majestic Ave, and Majestic South during that difficult 2008 period to help the people that lived in that whole end of the township.
POLITICIS was more important to the bottom feeders on the TC and their ilk than helping anyone.
