Monmouth County Democratic Chairman Vin Gopal is starting a new venture designed to help those throughout Central Jersey who are in need and struggling post-Hurricane Sandy. Gopal has announced that he will be launching a new non-profit called "Jersey Promise".
According to Gopal, Jersey Promise's mission will be to" lift the burden of those in need and help unleash the potential within themselves."
In the coming months, some of the programs Jersey Promise will be focusing on include:
- Annual Turkey Drive for those in need.Annual Christmas Toy Drive for those in need.
- Annual Food Drive to support our local food banks
- Annual Coat Drive for those cold in winter
- Grocery Assistance and Senior Check-In for seniors, those house-bound and living alone
- GED Training Programs
- Tutoring and SAT Prep for students in need
- Resume Assistance and Job Search Support

Jersey Promise will officially launch with a reception on Wednesday, July 31st, 7:00pm to 9:00pm, at the Dauphin Grille at Berkeley Hotel in Asbury Park, NJ.
