Christie on Wednesday Elections

Christie in 2009: “…That’s why it’s fascinating that we have an election on a Wednesday in April. Right? ‘Cause when you think Wednesday in April, you think Election Day, right? There’s another one of the toolkit bills that says we should move all this stuff to November so that more and more people will participate in voting, and that’s really important.”

Christie in 2013: “The general special election will be held on Wednesday, October 16th."

Christie on Spending Millions on a Special Election

Christie in 2009: "...I don’t think any responsible governor at this point would call for a special election that would cost ten million dollars.”

Christie in 2013: “…I don’t know what the cost is and I, quite frankly, don’t care.”
