In Case You Missed It: N.J. officials did not provide missing numbers during Race to the Top presentation, video shows

In cased you missed it, the U.S. Department of Education released a video yesterday of New Jersey’s Race to the Top presentation that was held earlier this month in Washington, D.C.

It clearly show that New Jersey's delegation was ill prepared and did not respond to questions that were asked of them in the correct fashion even after being given multiple opportunities to do so, which appears to contradict what Gov. Christie had been saying by blaming the Obama Administration for not calling him when they noticed a problem with the application.

Antitrust Eyes Turn Toward Google

Could this be the begining of the end of Google as we know it? I, for one certainly hope not. 

The Hill is reporting that the Obama Administration signaled this week that they will be taking a closer look and a more aggressive stance againt monopolies, which will surely mean trouble for the internet giant, even though  it's executives and many of its employees have thrown huge amounts of cash  and support to Obama.

Breaking: Specter Will Run as a Democrat in 2010

Senator Arlen Specter of Pennsylvania said on Tuesday he would switch to the Democratic party, presenting Democrats with a possible 60th vote and the power to break Senate filibusters as they try to advance the Obama administration’s new agenda.

In a statement issued about noon as the Capitol was digesting the stunning turn of events, Mr. Specter said he had concluded that his party had moved too far to the right, a fact demonstrated by the migration of 200,000 Pennsylvania Republicans to the Democratic Party.

Kumar Goes To The White House

Freehold native and actor turned political activist Kal Penn, famous for his starring role as stoner Kumar Patel in the movie Harold and Kumar go to White Castle and as Doctor Lawrence Kutner on Fox's "House", is joining the Obama administration as a liasion to the Asian-American and Pacific Islander communities.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The White House has hired actor Kal Penn as a liaison between President Barack Obama's administration and Asian constituents. White House spokesman Shin Inouye said Tuesday that the actor who had a recurring role on Fox's TV show "House" and has starred in several movies would join the staff as an associate director in the Office of Public Liaison.

His role will be to connect Obama with the Asian-American and Pacific Islander communities, as well as arts groups. Penn starred as Kumar in the movie, "Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay." His "House" character committed suicide in Monday's episode.

Penn backed Obama during the campaign. The White House says a start date for Penn hasn't been set.
