The Movie Leonardo DiCaprio Doesn't Want You To See
After reading about (and watching the 3 part documentary) that the NYPost.com published on August 12th, I finally watched the video of " Don's Plum"; The movie that Leonardo DiCaprio and Toby Maguire didn't want you to see back in 1995.
The story of Don's Plum is fascinating. I recommend reading the article and watching the documentary, I mentioned above before watching the movie in order to get all the background before watching the movie.
Don's Plum was a small budget, indie movie, made for ~ $100K between a group of friends that had the potential to make $Millions at box offices around the world. Instead, friendships were lost and careers ruined as a result of egos and misunderstandings.

New York Post Apologizes For Cartoon
What is this world coming to? It seems as though the New York Post has decided that it would be in their best interests to apologise for it's Wednesday cartoon editorial that depicted two police officers shooting a chimpanzee with the caption of "They'll have to find someone else to write the next stimulus bill".
It is extremely out of the ordinary for the Post to succumb to outside pressures and issue an apology for anything that it prints, but I suppose that the publisher is afraid of a potential boycott and further bad publicity from likes of Al Sharpton and other that were offend by the cartoon, thinking that it was racist slap at President Obama.
Here is the text of the apology:
Wednesday's Page Six cartoon - caricaturing Monday's police shooting of a chimpanzee in Connecticut - has created considerable controversy.
It shows two police officers standing over the chimp's body: "They'll have to find someone else to write the next stimulus bill," one officer says.
It was meant to mock an ineptly written federal stimulus bill.
Period.
But it has been taken as something else - as a depiction of President Obama, as a thinly veiled expression of racism.
This most certainly was not its intent; to those who were offended by the image, we apologize.
However, there are some in the media and in public life who have had differences with The Post in the past - and they see the incident as an opportunity for payback.
To them, no apology is due.
Sometimes a cartoon is just a cartoon - even as the opportunists seek to make it something else.

BIG OIL COMPANIES GIVE MONTANA THE BRUSHOFF
The NY Post's John Crudele wrote a follow-up to his column MONTANA GOVERNOR IS SITTING ON AN OIL MINE in Thursday's edition of the paper.
It seems as though the big oil companies do not want to deal with Montana's Governor Brian Schweitzer for some odd reason. Wouldn't it be better to exlpore for oil in the U.S, particlularily in a state that is willing to have you drill for it and would be willing to have a refinery built there to refine whatever oil may be found!
