Middletown Library Closing on Sundays??

I received a message from a friend telling me that the Middletown Library Board of Directors is considering closing the library on Sundays now.

According to my messenger friend, this Wednesday night, Nov. 15th, at their next board meeting, the board members will be holding a vote to close the library on Sundays. Here is a copy of the upcoming agenda.

This revelation of closing on Sundays seems to add credence to the concerns that Mahat Macote had expressed about a revenue shortfall in the library budget  and possible ongoing shenanigans at the library, that I posted about earlier.

If any of this concerns you then I would suggest you make it to Wednesday night's meeting at the library and make your voice heard.

Can we thank Library Board member, Anthony Perry, for this shortfall and the closing of the library on one of two days that the public has free to go to the library? This is "stellar" job on the Library Board that warrants him a position on the Township Committee? Our elected officials think so.
Maybe they should rethink this and close the library the same days that the recycling center is closed.
They could take the increase in garbage fees to supplement the library. We will all be paying more for garbage collection come January.
What happened to the expanded parking lot the township promised the library a few years ago, when they took over the library?

Follow the money...where does it go?

This is another attempt by the Library Board and Township to STEAL from the Library and the TAXPAYERS of Middletown...

They are chipping away at the Library's Budget until soon, it will be barely functional. And what will happen then?

They'll ship it off to the County..

Wake up Middletown...

Don't you care that your Library and Tax Dollars are being pillaged and stolen?

It goes in the front door and out the back, at the Library, these days..

To feather their Van Nests....

Apathy amongst the residents of Middletown is NOT in short supply, unfortunately..
