MURPHY WINS MONMOUTH DEMOCRATS CONVENTION WITH 87% OF THE VOTE

233 Delegates participated at the IBEW 400 Union Hall in Wall Township

WALL TOWNSHIP - The Monmouth County Democrats were excited to be the first county in the state to hold a gubernatorial endorsement convention. 233 delegates participated and Middletown resident and former Ambassador Phil Murphy was the overwhelming winner.

Third place finisher Bill Brennan in his remarks was gracious in defeat publicly praising the Monmouth county convention as being one of the most open and Democratic in the entire state.

The results were the following:
Phil Murphy - 203 votes (87%)
John Wisniewski - 22 votes (9%)
Bill Brennan - 8 votes (4%)

Phil Murphy will now be the endorsed candidate on the Monmouth County Line in the June Primary.
