West Long Branch, NJ, February 23, 2016 - The Monmouth County Democrats will host a mock presidential debate at Monmouth University on March 3rd. Congressman Frank Pallone will be the surrogate for former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, while Assemblyman John Wisniewski will be the surrogate for Senator Bernie Sanders.
Both officials have publicly expressed support for their respective candidates.
Vin Gopal, Chairman of the Monmouth County Democrats, said that he is “excited to have such respected politicians representing the two candidates. Frank Pallone and John Wisniewski both care deeply about the campaigns they are endorsing. I can’t say for sure how the debate will turn out, but I can promise that the night will be informative and engaging.”
The debate will take place from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the Wilson Auditorium. The event is free to attend, and all ages are welcome.
