Pallone Announces Ticket Availability to Watch Pope Francis in Washington

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
September 14, 2015

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) announced that his office will distribute tickets on a first-come, first-served basis to residents of New Jersey’s 6th Congressional District for a viewing of Pope Francis’ remarks during his visit to Washington on September 24. The tickets will grant entrance onto the West Lawn of the Capitol’s standing-room only viewing area, where the Pope’s speech will be broadcast.

New Jersey’s 6th Congressional District residents should email Thomas Egan at Thomas.Egan@mail.house.gov with the subject line “Pope Tickets” to request tickets. They will be awarded based on when the email was received.

“Pope Francis’ historic trip will mark the first time a Pope will address a Joint Session of Congress, and I am glad that New Jersey residents will have the opportunity to travel to Washington for the occasion,” said Congressman Pallone. “From his steadfast commitment to tolerance and human dignity to his call for a revolution to combat climate change, there are many reasons to admire Pope Francis. It will be a great honor to hear from the Pope at the Capitol.”
