ABERDEEN, NJ—In recognition of National Childhood Obesity Month, Air Trampoline Sports will promote Childhood Obesity Awareness and advocate adopting healthy lifestyles. Childhood Obesity Awareness is part of a national effort to eradicate childhood obesity in the United States and ensure young people get a healthy start in life.
During the past four decades, obesity rates have soared among all age groups, increasing more than fourfold among children ages six to 11. More than 23 million children and teenagers (31.8%) ages two to 19 are obese or overweight, a statistic that health and medical experts consider an epidemic.
“The growing rate of childhood obesity in our country is alarming,” said owner Ken Stone. “The well-being of our community’s children is Air Trampoline’s priority. We are promoting a healthy environment for our children - away from video games and television. Air Trampoline offers innovative and exciting ways for our children to stay healthy while also having a lot of fun.”
Obese young people have an 80% chance of becoming obese adults and are more likely than children of normal weight to become overweight or obese adults. As a result, they are more at risk for associated adult health problems such as heart disease, type 2 diabetes, sleep apnea, stroke, several types of cancer and osteoarthritis.
“The consequences of obesity really highlight just how important it is for children and teens to adopt healthy lifestyles as early as possible,” Stone said. “That means participating in regular physical activity and embracing healthy eating habits early on in life.”
“Childhood obesity is entirely preventable,” remarked Stone. “It’s up to us, as adults and as leaders in the community, to not only teach our kids to live healthily, but to set the example for them to live up to as well.”

Yes, this is the first time I learnt that trampolining help improve child obesity. I think it is true because there are many things to follow if a kid want to play on a trampoline
