Letter: Say No To Christie Bigotry With Glitter!

The expressed opinions or views of this letter does not necessarily represent the opinion of the MiddletownMike blog:

Dear Editor,

Governor Chris Christie has crossed a final line in his attacks on various groups of people in New Jersey - his various targets have included school teachers, public employees, medical marijuana patients and he is now attacking the United States Supreme Court for supporting the simple right to marriage equality for the LGBT community, after he long blocked gay marriage in New Jersey.

The citizens of our state are truly a rainbow mosaic of diversity and Christie has shown his true colors to New Jersey. He is too extreme for our state and his staff have been criminally indicted for alleged corruption.

I encourage citizens in favor of LGBT equality to mail envelopes filled with glitter in celebration of gay marriage being legalized to: Governor Christie, PO Box 1, Trenton, NJ 08625

New Jersey, Say no to Christie bigotry with glitter!

This ruling was a travesty. 9 lawyers overturned the votes of millions of Americans who voted against same sex marriage. This will be used as a weapon against bible believing churches. We have seen in Monmouth county civil unions used to attack the church in Ocean Grove. In states with gay marriage small businesses are under attack by gay activists and activist judges. When bakers refuse to bake a cake for same sex ceremonies they are sued, this is ridiculous. If I write an anti gay play should I be allowed to sue a gay actor who refuses a role in the play? In 2008 Obama opposed same sex marriage. This is the same as view that you want to mail Christie glitter over today 7 years later. Does this make sense to you? Were you upset with Obama 7 years ago for not attacking an institution that was US law for hundreds of years? I can only hope that America will come back to it's senses and return to reason and the rule of law.

Marriage is not a religion. It is a legal condition or institution and every individual in this land should be entitled to the privileges and benefits that the legal condition or institution of marriage bestows in these United States of America.

That is now the law of this land as well as in many other lands on this earth. Now it is a human right to love whom you please and enjoy the protections that marriage grants those who choose to enter into marriage and assume the responsibilities of that marriage.

Millions of Americans believe this ruling by the SCOTUS is just and correct for each and every one of us. Now learn to "live and let live" and stop trying to impose your beliefs on anyone else.

Religion is not the rule of law....
