Emergency Preparedness Training Offered this Spring

From Middletown Alerts:

The Community Emergency Response Team program educates people about preparing for hazards that may impact their area and trains them in basic disaster response skills, such as first aid, fire safety, light search and rescue, and team organization. A free multi-session training program will be held this spring at Hazlet Town Hall, 1766 Union Avenue. Interested participants can register on-site on April 22nd at 7:15pm or send an email with contact information to oem@hazlettwp.org.

Using the skills learned in this program, CERT members can assist others in their neighborhood or workplace following an event when professional responders are not immediately available to help. CERT members are also encouraged to support emergency response agencies by taking a more active role in emergency preparedness. Call Middletown Emergency Management at 732-615-2129 for more information.
