Mayor’s Food Basket Needs Donations for Middletown Families

Middletown Alerts:

Visiting Town Hall? Please bring a non-perishable food donation for the Mayor’s Food Basket. Mayor Stephanie Murray has partnered with Middletown’s Social Services Department to help feed local families. Mayor’s Food Basket donations can be brought to Middletown Town Hall, 1 Kings Highway. All donations will be given to the Middletown Food Pantry to feed township residents.

The Social Services Department reports that the stock at the Middletown Food Pantry is at an all-time low due in part to two reductions in the federal food stamp program this year. Please donate non-perishable foods. Items needed include canned goods such as beans, fruit, prepared meals, tuna and vegetables, sauces, peanut butter and jelly, pasta, and rice. Food gift cards are also welcome. Call Social Services at 732-615-2085 for more information.
