Sandy Recovery Assessment Starts Today

From Middletown Alerts -

World Renew’s trained volunteers will conduct community assessments of unmet needs in flood damaged areas of Middletown starting April 25th. They will contact families who have registered with FEMA. For those still with unmet needs, World Renew will conduct in-depth interviews at walk-in centers in Middletown at the New Monmouth Baptist Church and the Henry Hudson Trail Activity Center.

World Renew Disaster Response Services, from Grand Rapids, Michigan, has responded to disasters in the U.S. for more than 40 years, and has been active in New York and New Jersey since Hurricane Sandy.

Assessments will be turned over to the Monmouth County Long Term Recovery Group (MCLTRG www.mcltrg.org) to review and prioritize. This mission of the MCLTRG is to provide recovery services to individuals and families affected by disasters in Monmouth County.
