Last Wednesday night, December 13th, there was a meeting of the Middletown Township Sewerage Authority(TOMSA).
After a brief public hearingt, where only one person asked a question, the 2013 budget for the TOMSA was adopted. It will now be forwarded to the N.J. Department of Community Affailr for approval.
Even though the meeting video lasts only 34 minutes, I haven't had a chance to watch it all due to the time constrains of the holiday season. I hope to get back to it at a later date.
Be warned, the audio of the video is a bit fuzzy and is a little hard to listen to, but you can make out what is being discussed with little difficulty, so it is worth the watch.

Hi Mike. My back-up audio recording of the meeting is much more clear than the video recording. The audio will be posted online soon on the media page of www.middletowndemocrat.org.
By the way, the reason only one person -- me -- commented at the meeting is because I was the only public attendee. A few times Mr. Parkinson said something about allowing other members of the public an opportunity to comment, and I almost started laughing. I guess he wanted people watching the video to think there were a lot of people in the audience behind the camera.
Another amusing moment occurred when, during the budget hearing, Mr. Parkinson said they didn't come prepared to answer questions on the budget. I said, "Your auditor's sitting right there."
