This is a little outside of Middletown, but worth knowing about for those of you who want to learn more about your rights as citizens and wish to become more involved in the political process. Thanks go to John Paff, Chairman of the NJ Libertarian Party’s Open Government Advocacy Project, for providing me notice of this event.
The New Jersey Foundation for Open Government (NJFOG) is
hosting a seminar on Saturday, September 22, 2012 between 9:30 a.m. and 3:30
p.m. If you register in advance, the cost is only $15, and breakfast and
lunch are included. For students
with an ID, the cost is only $3. The event will be held at the Raritan Valley Community
College located at 118 Lamington Road, Branchburg, NJ 08876.
The seminar will consist of panel discussions and hands-on workshops. Speakers will include John Paff, NJFOG president Walter Luers, Esq., Tom McLeod Esq. of the ACLU-NJ, former Paramus town clerk Ian Shore, and journalist Krystal Knapp.
