I'm a little late posting this video of the May 21 2012, Middletown Township Committee Workshop Meeting, but as the say, it's better a little late than never.
At this meeting A number of awards were presented, as well as a group of students from Bayshore Middle School selected by the Elks as the Township Committee were allowed ti sit on the dais. A few new ordinances were introduced, one of which, will relax one of the toughest pay-to-play laws in the State. Ordinances to form a Historic Preservation Committee, an Economic Development Committee, increase dog and cat licensing fees along with other fees in town, as well as, building requirements for fast food restaurants were also introduced or voted on and a new garbage and recycling collection contract was adopted by resolution.
And as always, the Public Comments portion of the meeting was enlightening.
As a companion to the video, you can download a copy of the meeting agenda that contains the proposed resolutions and ordinances that were voted on or presented during the meeting. A box around an item is a link, bringing you further into the document to that resolution or ordinance. At the end of the resolution there will be a link bringing you back to the agenda. Attached to this agenda is also the monthly bill list, so that everyone can see how the Township is spending our tax dollars.
