To The Editor:
I want to comment on Carol Fowler who is running for Township Committee in Middletown. I met her when she interviewed my father-in-law for the National Guard Militia Museum in Sea Girt about 10 years ago. She quickly became a family friend who was included in family gatherings because of her friendly nature and her selfless desire to make other people’s lives better. I find her to be honest, trustworthy and very responsible in everything she does. It is time that people of Middletown elect someone who is not a career politician but just plain “Folks” like you and me. She will bring a breath of fresh air to the township committee that has been a one party rule for far too long. I support Carol and hope Middletown voters will also get to know her as I have.

As someone who personally knows Carol, I agree with the author of this letter.
Carol bring something sorely lacking on the TC and with the Republican candidates and that's honesty and integrity.
She's smart, knows the community and well respected. She's not running to further her own agenda.
She will not compromise her values and cow tow to a political machine.
She and Jim Grenafege will work for the residents and tax payers not her political party.
"breath of fresh air" ? The posters who are obvious left liberals are just too nasty. If they behave this way online they will be even worse in any seat. It is apparent the posters are with Grenefenge and Fowler campaign, and they portray themselves as foul mouth middle schoolers. We will pass on a vote for them. Foul odor in the air from them.

I've never seen so many comments defending the Republicans in office and comments attacking the Democratic candidates. Your usual tactic is just to ignore.
Why all the fuss? You shouldn't be surprised that most of us posting here support Grenafege and Fowler.
If that bothers you, that go to MMM where I'm sure you'll fit right in with your fellow right wingers and Tea party comrades.
Intimidation is the major tool of the motley crew on that dais.....every last one of them.
Integrity,truthfulness, respect for the citizens of this town,those qualities are absent from the whole batch of them,
Don't like the criticism, Change your f------ attitude and behavior and maybe someday we can respect government in this township !
Foul odor foul mouths: Maybe your comments belong in the sewer where your Republican faithful reside.
Why don't you focus on your own motley crew. Your candidates represent all that is wrong with our local government.
They wouldn't know the truth if it smacked them in the head.
It will be more of the same arrogance that sits up on that dais now.
After reading Steph Murray's answers to questions in the Independent interview, I came away with thinking she sounded like another empty headed puppet. Then again, why should I be surprised?
There is more than one empty headed puppet on that dais. All of them are ,untrustworthy.empty headed puppets for Carton & Nelson Company.
If you want good government, don't vote for lawyers or their lackeys!
