Crime Scene Middletown:Yesterday Just Wasn't Enough - More Activities From The Past Two Days

Thursday, 13 October 2011 -Arrests do not indicate convictions


On October 11, 2011 at approximately 3:00 pm Detective Paul Shanley was on his way to the Union Beach Police Department when a vehicle making an unsafe lane change almost struck his vehicle. Detective Shanley attempted to stop the car, being driven by Daniel Butler, age 25, from Aumack Avenue in Union Beach, NJ, when Butler refused to stop and led the detective on a brief pursuit.

Detective Shanley, with the help of the Union Beach, Hazlet, and Keyport Police Departments was able to eventually stop Butler and take him into custody after he purposely struck another vehicle in Keyport. Butler was charged with Eluding, Hindering Apprehension, Resisting Arrest and numerous motor vehicle violations. Butler also had two outstanding Contempt of Court warrants issued by the Freehold and Union Beach Municipal Courts. He was released after posting $21,300.00 bail.
Police advise nobody was injured in the pursuit.

On October 12, 2011 at approximately 9:20 pm Patrolman Robert McNair was on patrol in the area of Bray Avenue when he observed a suspicious vehicle parked on the side of the road. Officer McNair approached the driver, identified as Zachary Peseau, age 25, from Longboat Avenue in Beachwood, NJ, at which point he detected the strong odor of raw Marijuana coming from the vehicle.

Officer McNair conducted an investigation which resulted in the recovery of a baggie of Marijuana, a scale used to weigh Marijuana, a glass pipe used to smoke Marijuana, and the arrest of Peseau for Possession of under 50 Grams of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was transported to police headquarters where he was processed and released pending a court date.

On October 12, 2011 Detective Daniel Sullivan arrested Delores Costello, age 30, from Center Avenue in Keansburg, NJ, for Theft as a result of an investigation into the theft of a laptop computer and video game from a residence on Thompson Avenue. Detective Sullivan was also able to locate the stolen property and return it to the owner.

Costello was processed and was being held at the Monmouth County Correctional Facility in Freehold, NJ, on $2,500.00 set by Judge Richard Thompson. Detective Sullivan was assisted by the Keansburg Police Department.

The Middletown Police Department reports the arrests of the following subjects for various offenses:

Kevin Allen, age 28, from Powell Avenue in Atlantic Highlands, NJ, arrested on October 13, 2011 by Patrolman Brady Carr on a Contempt of Court warrant issued by the Atlantic Highlands Municipal Court. He was released after posting $300.00 bail.

Stuart Way, age 52, from Mackey Avenue in Belford, NJ, arrested on October 12, 2011 by Patrolman Donald Coates on a Contempt of Court warrant issued by the Middletown Municipal Court. He was released after posting $600.00 bail.

Kimberly Finucan, age 38, from Morningside Avenue in Keansburg, NJ, arrested on October 12, 2011 by Patrolman Richard Belmonte on a Contempt of Court warrant issued by the Middletown Municipal Court. She was released after posting $572.00 bail.

Thomas Russoniello, age 55, from Devon Street in Manchester, NJ, arrested on October 12, 2011 by Patrolman Anthony Bumbico on a Contempt of Court warrant issued by the Middletown Municipal Court. He was released after posting $500.00 bail.

Marcella Cere, age 24, from Highway 36 in Port Monmouth, NJ, arrested on October 12, 2011 by Patrolman Raymond Sofield on a Contempt of Court warrant issued by the Middletown Municipal Court. She was released after posting $100.00 bail.

Grenafege is allowed to run for a seat on the Township committee. Middletown Beware, be afraid,very afraid. Incompetence and out of control thinking of his will skyrocket our taxes, he believes in programs, benefits and hiring, spend , spend , spend at homeowners, taxpayers expense.
