Friday, 21 October 2011 -Arrests do not indicate convictions
On October 21, 2011 at approximately 12:40 am officers were dispatched to the area of Highway 35 near Kings Highway to check for a vehicle that had another in Hazlet Township and fled the scene. Officer Greenwood located the vehicle and conducted a motor vehicle stop. Officers approached the driver, identified as William Buckalew, age 26, from Seadrift Avenue in Highlands, NJ, at which point they detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from inside the car.
The officers conducted an investigation which resulted in Buckalew being arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and Reckless Driving. He was transported to police headquarters where he was processed and released pending a court date. Buckalew was also issued motor vehicle summonses by the Hazlet Township Police Department.
On October 20, 2011 at approximately 12:50 pm Patrolman James Beirne responded to the Shop Rite store in reference to a report of a shoplifting. Upon arrival store security advised the officer that they had observed two juvenile females concealing food items in order to steal it.
Officer Beirne conducted an investigation which resulted in a 17 year old female form Belford, NJ, and a 17 year old female from Middletown, NJ, being arrested for Shoplifting. Both subjects were transported to police headquarters where they were processed and released pending a court date.
On October 20, 2011 Detective William Strohkirch arrested Errol Jeffrey for Theft as a result of an investigation into the theft of construction equipment from the Sambol Construction Company. Police say Jeffrey entered a storage area on Middletown Lincroft Road and stole Valve Box Risers that are used for shutting off water service.
He was processed and released on a summons pending a court date.
On October 18 and October 18, 2011 Detective Daniel Sullivan arrested Asa Liebmann, age 22, from William Street in Highlands, NJ; Mark Rosario, age 29, from Clubhouse Drive in Middletown, NJ, and Evan Miller, age 29, from Acker Drive in Middletown, NJ, for Theft and Conspiracy as a result of an investigation into a theft from the Murphy Limousine and Taxi Company where the three were employed.
Police said that Miller and Liebmann were employed as taxi drivers and Rosario was the company dispatcher. The three agreed to transport customers and collect the fare for the rides but would not submit the money or the work order to the company. Rosario would answer the calls and then dispatch the two drivers. The three would then split the profit made from transporting the customers.
Rosario was released after posting $10,000.00 bail set by Judge Richard Thompson. Miller and Liebmann were both released on a summons pending a court date.
On October 19, 2011 at approximately 1:15 pm Patrolman Robert McNair was on patrol in the area of Thompson Avenue and Highway 36 when he stopped a vehicle for a red light violation. The officer approached the driver, identified as Harry Spears II, age 37, from Barneget Avenue in Toms River, NJ, at which point he observed a clear bag in the driver’s mouth.
Officer McNair conducted an investigation which resulted in the recovery of Percocet pills from the bag and the arrest of Spears for Unlawful Possession of Percocet. He was transported to police headquarters where he was processed and released pending a court date.
On October 18, 2011 at approximately 10:15 pm Police Officer Janine Kennedy responded to a residence on Palmer Avenue in reference to a report of a fight that had taken place. Upon arrival Officer Kennedy conducted an investigation which resulted in the arrest of Ronda Krakowski, age 45, from Palmer Avenue in Middletown, NJ, for Obstructing the Administration of Law after she interfered with the investigation.
She was transported to police headquarters where she was processed and released pending a court date.
On October 18, 2011 at approximately 5:10 pm Patrolman Frank Mazza was on patrol in the area of the Henry Hudson Trail when he observed three juveniles sitting against a wall. Upon approaching the juveniles he observed one of them attempt to throw a small bag away from the officer’s view.
Officer Mazza conducted an investigation which resulted in the recovery of a Marijuana cigarette and a bottle of rum and the arrests of two 16 year old male juveniles from Hazlet for Possession of under 50 Grams of Marijuana and Possession of Alcohol Underage. Both subjects were transported to police headquarters where they were processed and released pending a court date.
On October 2, 2011 at approximately 6:15 pm Sergeant Paul Bailey was on patrol in the area of the Acme Shopping Center when he observed two suspicious subjects standing next to vehicles parked in the parking lot. Sergeant Bailey approached the subjects at which point he detected the odor of burnt Marijuana coming from the area where they were standing. Sergeant Bailey also observed Marijuana in plain view in one of the vehicles.
Officer Bailey conducted an investigation which resulted in the recovery of Marijuana, illegal fireworks, drug paraphernalia, Ecstasy, and Viagra pills and the arrest of Daniel Dimaio for Possession of under 50 Grams of Marijuana, Possesion of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Ecstasy, Illegal Possession of Viagra, Possession with the intent to Distribute less than one Ounce of Marijuana, Possession with the intent to Distribute a Controlled Dangerous Substance within 1000 feet of a School Zone, and Possession with the intent to Distribute a Controlled Dangerous Substance within 500 feet of Public Housing.
He was transported to police headquarters where he was processed and released pending a court date.

Virginia Finley, age 28, from Mabel Avenue in Leonardo, NJ, arrested on October 17, 2011 by Patrolman James Beirne on two Contempt of Court warrants issued by the Manalapan and Middletown Municipal Courts. She was released after posting $5,768.00 bail.
Christopher Francy, age 22, from Wedgewood Circle in Belford, NJ, arrested on October 17, 2011 by Patrolman Richard Fulham on a Contempt of Court warrant issued by the Montclair Municipal Court. He was held on $500.00 bail.
Christopher Varmon, age 33, from Gail Drive in Nyack, NY, arrested on October 19, 2011 by Patrolman James Beirne on two Contempt of Court warrants issued by the Middletown Municipal court. He was held on $1,550.00 bail.
Ann Juarbe, age 47, from Main Street in Port Monmouth, NJ, arrested on October 18, 2011 by Patrolman Felipe Benedit and Patrolman Anthony Gigante of the Quality of Life Unit on a Contempt of Court warrant issued by the Keansburg Municipal Court. She was released pending a court date.
Christopher Chrampanis, age 38, from Nottingham Road in Ocean, NJ, arrested on October 18, 2011 by Corporal James Keenan on a Contempt of Court warrant out of Middletown Municipal Court. He was released after posting $500.00 bail.
Teodura Duarte, age 38, from Beaconlight Avenue in Keansburg, NJ, arrested on October 18, 2011 by Patrolman Richard Fulham on a Contempt of Court warrant issued by the Middletown Municipal Court. She was released after posting $500.00 bail.
Charles Shaver, age 51, from Highland Avenue in Keansburg, NJ, arrested on October 19, 2011 by Patrolman Richard Fulham on a Contempt of Court warrant issued by the Holmdel Municipal Court. He was held on $1,500.00 bail.
Taisha Smith, age 30, from Highland Avenue in Keansburg, NJ, arrested on October 19, 2011 by Patrolman Richard Fulham on Contempt of Court warrants issued by the Hazlet and Keansburg Municipal Courts. She was also charged with Obstructing and Investigation for providing the officer with a fake name. She was held on $1,400.00 bail.
Thomas Macarthur, age 20, from Eighth Street in Belford, NJ, arrested on October 18, 2011 by Patrolman Michael Pintilie on a Contempt of Court warrant issued by the Bellmawr Municipal Court. He was released after posting $89.00 bail.
Frank Bush, age 27, from Division Street in Port Monmouth, NJ, arrested on October 20, 2011 by Patrolman Jason Caruso on a Contempt of Court warrant issued by the Middletown Municipal Court. He was held on $250.00 bail.
Amanda Plouff, age 31, arrested on October 20, 2011 by Patrolman John Mele on a Contempt of Court warrant issued by the Atlantic Highlands Municipal Court. She was held on $500.00 bail.
Carissa Bossert, age 23, from Woods End Road in Middletown, NJ, arrested on October 20, 2011 by Sergeant John Werner on a Contempt of Court warrant issued by the Shrewsbury Borough Municipal Court. She was released after $501.00 bail.
Shannon Santos, age 23, from Wood Avenue in Port Monmouth, NJ, arrested on October 20, 2011 by Patrolman Adam Vendetti on a Contempt of Court warrant issued by the Middletown Municipal Court. She was released after posting $1,000.00 bail.
Gordon Rieger, age 56, from Florence Avenue in Leonardo, NJ, arrested on October 20, 2011 by Patrolman Keith Hirschbein on a Contempt of Court warrant issued by the Middletown Municipal Court. He was released on his own recognizance.
