Thursday,08 September 2011 -Arrests do not indicate convictions
On September 6, 2011 at approximately 5:00 pm Patrolman Michael Reuter and Patrolman Nicholas Fenezia of the Quality of Life Unit were on patrol in the area of the Spy House Museum in Port Monmouth when they observed a suspicious vehicle parked in the parking lot. The officers approached the vehicle and conducted an investigation which resulted in the discovery of a hypodermic syringe used for injecting narcotics inside the vehicle.
The officers continued their investigation which resulted in the arrests of Charles Eastman, age 23, from Morningside Avenue in Middletown, NJ, and Nicholas Stripto, age 21, from Port Monmouth Road in Keansburg, NJ, for Possession of a Hypodermic Syringe. Stripto was also charged with Hindering Apprehension for giving the officers a false name during the investigation. The officers also determined that there were two outstanding Contempt of Court warrants issued by the Keansburg and Keyport Municipal Courts for his arrest.
Both subjects were transported to police headquarters for processing. Eastman was released pending a court date and Stripto was held on $1,596.00 bail.
On September 6, 2011 at approximately 5:30 pm Patrolman Keith Hirschbein was on patrol in the area of Leonardville Road when he stopped a vehicle for making an illegal turn. The officer approached the vehicle at which point he detected the odor of Marijuana coming from inside the car. The officer also observed Marijuana in plain view scattered all over the vehicle’s interior.
Officer Hirschbein continued his investigation which resulted in the recovery of Marijuana and a baggie containing Cocaine from the vehicle and the arrests of Donti Brundage, age 21, from Trenton, NJ, Travis Zeller, age 19, from Princeton Place, in Belford, NJ, Scott Keiderling, age 19, from Scott Road in Port Monmouth, NJ, and Sean Levy, age 19, from Brookside Drive in Belford, NJ for Possession of under 50 Grams of Marijuana and Possession of Cocaine.
All four subjects were transported to police headquarters where they were processed and released pending a court date.
On September 5, 2011 at approximately 7:40 pm Sgt. Paul Bailey was on patrol in the area of Highway 35 when he stopped a vehicle for tailgating. The officer approached the vehicle at which point he detected an odor of Marijuana coming from inside the car. The officer conducted an investigation which resulted in the discovery of Marijuana inside the car and a large machete, a metal club and the stimulant Nuvigil in the trunk of the vehicle. Sgt. Bailey also located a driver’s license belonging to a victim in Hazlet, NJ, who reported that the license had been either lost or stolen approximately six months prior.
Sgt. Bailey continued his investigation which resulted in the arrests of Anthony Longo, age 19, from Warren Street in Rumson, NJ, a 16 year old male juvenile from Red Bank, NJ, for Possession of under 50 Grams of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Matthew Robertson, age 18, from Clover Lane in Rumson, NJ, for Theft of Lost or Mislaid Property, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, Unlawful Possession of Nuvigil, Possession of under 50 Grams of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. All three subjects were processed and released pending a court date.
The Middletown Police Department reports the arrests of the following subjects for various offenses:
Joseph Yannibelli, age 34, from Day Avenue in Middletown, NJ, arrested on September 7, 2011 by Patrolman Stephen Keller for Violating a Court Order issued by the Maplewood Municipal Court. He was held awaiting transfer to the Maplewood Police Department.
Patricia Brickman, age 40, from Port Monmouth Road in Middletown, NJ, arrested on September 7, 2011 by Patrolman Jason Caruso on a Violation of Probation warrant issued by the Bergen County Municipal Court. She was held awaiting transfer to the Bergen County Sheriff’s Department.
