Video: Meet Carol Fowler, Democratic Candidate for Middletown Township Committee

This video was taken on June 30th, 2011 while Carol Fowler was introducing herself to members of the the Middletown Township Democratic Executive Committee shortly before receiving the approval of the Committee to become the Party's candidate for this year's November 8th election for Township Committee.

If you have never met Carol Fowler and want to know a little bit about her for yourself, here's your chance.

I find it interesting that after posting this video to youtube on Friday and not making any announcement of it's existence before now, the video has already had 40 hits. I guess some people are interested in seeing who is the person replacing Alex Desevo and what kind of candidate she will make.

"When I go shopping to Middletown from Lincroft?" Doesn't she know that Lincroft is part of Middletown? Sticking with Desevo would have given us a better chance.

Nit picking nitwits are being petty.....are you kidding us ?

anon 7:01, You know quite well what Carol was saying. She knows Lincroft is part of Middletown, she was making a distinction between the 2 sections of town.
Please spare us your opinion, which you pretend is coming from a Dem supporter.
Carol is sincere, and only wants to represent us. How refreshing compared to her opponents.

anon 7:01, That's all you can come up with? If you think you can do a better job, then why don't you stick your neck out and run.
We're lucky to have people like Carol who are willing to do just that.
Only cowardly, petty people like you would make a comment like yours.

Different Zip codes in Lincroft and Middletown as you know Anonymous 7:01.

When you list homes for sale you often see realtors list Lincroft as if it was it's own distinct location- as in "Lincroft Lovely" or some other term- but of course you should know that.

Anonymous 10:42.....Bet money even one is more than you can claim in your family !

The only claim to "fame" some people have is to criticize others for their courage to fight for what they believe in. Spare us please !

The Middletown Fire Chiefs who her son, 4th generation volunteer fireman, are related to are his uncle Dennis Fowler, his grandfather Jack Fowler, and great-grandfather Jack Fowler. His father Jack Fowler is Chief Engineer in Lincroft. Their wedding was at Belford Independent firehouse. She's taught in 15 of the 17 public schools in Middletown. . Middletown Fire Dept is the largest volunteer fire organization in the world. We all have a lot to be proud of!

Did anyone check her voter registration? Here's a news flash. Last records show her as a registered Republican along with her husband and son. Way to go on the background check for this one guys. Guess it must have been pretty desperate after the Desevo Disaster.

Yes, we know all about her voter registration status previous to her being named a candidate.

Ms. Fowler stated that she registered to vote for a friend in a primary and that is why she was registered as an "R" prior to her switching party affiliation to run for Township Comittee as a Dem.,

And I bet she has had a library card for years, not like the clown on the tc and library board.

anon 9:43 News Flash, Pat Short and Sean Byrnes were also Republicans.
This just goes to show you many Republicans are sick of the way our government operates in this town.
I'd worry about your own cast of characters if I were you.

And the Fowler family has certainly contributed to that sense of pride.

And yes, Mike, that consequence of voting in a primary for someone I had a great deal of respect for put me on the republican registration list....not a choice to be there and when I voted the next time in a primary for Tony Avallone, a trip to Freehold to the election board office was the first thing I took care of just days after the primary. As an unaffiliated voter, want the freedom to chose the person whom will best serve my idea of a good representative of the people. Party affiliation can be like being part of a cult....not allowed to think or choose for yourself.

People who vote a straight party line put no effort in learning about who or what they are voting for. Just pull the levers thoughtlessly ! Unfortunately there are consequences to that kind of voting.....just look at Middletown after thirty years of a republican majority. It is no utopia, and that's for sure.

Wow- looks like the Middletown Republican contingent of "Homeland Security" is doing "background checks" on Ms. Fowler's husband and son. Are they running for office too?

I'm sure the current crop of Republican politicians in Middletown has turned alot of registered Republicans to Ds or unaffiliated. Not sure if Ms. Fowler has a dog, but make sure you check the poop for something useful- you never know!

Too bad Middletown's contingent of "Homeland Security" doesn't pass muster themselves...intimidation is the tool of fools and punks !

Did the Republicans do their own check on Steph Murray? Seems like she has her own little secret.
