Crime Scene Middletown: FORMER MATER DEI DEAN OF STUDENTS CHARGED WITH SEX ASSAULT OF MINOR

The Middletown Police Department has charged the former Dean of Students at Mater Dei High School, located on Cherry Tree Farm Road, with sexually assaulting a former student who was sixteen years old at the time of the assault.

Detective Kelly Godley charged William Miltner, age 28, from Acker Drive in Middletown with second degree Aggravated Sexual Assault and fourth degree Aggravated Sexual Contact.

Miltner had been employed by the high school for four years and was promoted to Dean of Students in 2010. He was also a teacher and a soccer coach at the school. Police say that Miltner had an ongoing sexual relationship with the student which occurred outside of school in April of 2009. The victim has since graduated from the school and is currently eighteen years old.

Miltner was arrested on Tuesday, April 12, 2011 and is being held in the Monmouth County Correctional Facility in Freehold on $125,000 bail with no 10% option set by Superior Court Judge Thomas Scully.
