We also have — as the leader will tell you, who’s been working with them — don’t believe they had the votes, and I believe they’re covering up the embarrassment of not having the votes. But think about this. Somebody hurt my feelings, so I will punish the country. That’s hardly plausible. And there are 12 Republican members who were ready to stand up for the economic interest of America, but not if anybody insulted them.
I’ll make an offer. Give me those 12 people’s names and I will go talk uncharacteristically nicely to them and tell them what wonderful people they are and maybe they’ll now think about the country."

Yea well how about the rest of the dems. Realy sad. N. Paloci is a real leader... blaiming the current administration when the truth is that the whole crisis was caused by fannie mae and freddy mac and their leadership.... Clinton appointees. Hmm I don't see you writing about the fact that the current administration was trying to fix this problem since 2003.... It was ignored.

Scary that our congress could be so easily swayed by a few choice words. And then to blame Nancy for it? Sheesh!
Kudos to Rep Frank for telling it like it is.
There is enough blame to go around for everyone.
The problem with yesterdays vote was that the Republicans did not have votes, so they used Pelosi as an excuse.
If the Dems had real guts they would drop the current plan and push through a plan that they really want.
